Disney Channel Rebranding for Monstober 2024 + Other Disney Updates

Here's a quick rundown of some of the new happenings going on at Disney.

First off, the company's flagship TV network, the Disney Channel is about to undergo its first rebrand in over a decade of ten years, with a new logo and graphics package set to hit linear and streaming airwaves on Monday, September 30th in advance of this year's MONSTOBER Halloween celebrations. This new collection of assets and graphics design thankfully ends the tragic era of its 2014 logo dumpster fire that caused the network to lose its iconic 2002 mouse head logo. The new wordmark logo is designed correctly in the form that it should have been when the mouse head background was originally deceased. The new logo was leaked last month in August 2024 in the release date poster of its upcoming reboot series, Wizards BEYOND Waverly Place.

Next, the hopping Luxo Jr. lamps at Pixar Animation Studios are in a major shakeup. The two original Pixar TV series created for Disney+ have unexpectedly swapped dates. The Inside Out TV series Dream Productions (Season 1, 4 episodes) originally slated for a Spring April 2025 release date will now be premiering four months early for this year's Christmas Delivery on Wednesday, December 11th. Unfortunately due to circumstances under our control, the original idea-centered Disney/Pixar TV series Win or Lose (Season 1, 13 episodes) originally slated for a Friday December 6, 2024 Christmas delivery has sadly been postponed and delayed until further notice, and will instead be released next year, with a new release date of Wednesday February 19th, 2025, after Presidents Day weekend.

And finally, one of the saddest updates to be unveiled. After almost 20 years on the web, Disney.com's award-winning interactive rewards program Disney Movie Rewards Insiders will be ceasing operations at the end of the year, with its last hurrah set for Wednesday, December 4th, 2024. The shutdown of DMRI will officially bring an end to Disney's classic era of virtual worlds and MMO games, which also included the likes of Toontown, Club Penguin, Disney's BLAST, Mouse House Jr., Playhouse Disney/Disney Junior Preschool Time Online, Disney Game Kingdom Online, Disney Connection and the recently closed down Disney Movies Club, the latter of which closed up shop earlier this summer.

More updates of all things Disney coming soon.
