THIS IS SERIOUS - Nick Jr. and Apple TV+ Order Wonder Pets! Reboot "Wonder Pets! Iin the City" to Release Friday, December 13th at 11:30AM (ET/PT)

WHAT'S GONNA WORK???? TEAMWORK! Nickelodeon's iconic 2006 preschool series operatta is finally back for a whole new generation of kids, with the opening night performance of Wonder Pets! in the City! (Season 1, 13 episodes) slated to release across Nickelodeon, Nick Jr. and Apple TV+ over the CHristmas holidays on Friday, December 13th at 11:30am ET/10:30c

The new series follows Linny the Guinea Pig, Turtle Tuck and Ming-Ming the THIS IS SERIOUS duckling together alongside a trio of new superhero friends Izzy the Guinea Pig, Tate the Snake and Zuri the Bunny Rabbit, as they blast off into their Flyboat and continue their quest of never-ending good deeds to help save animals in trouble from the four corners of the globe. And when their work here is done, they get addicted to having celery with ALL of their global dishes.

The new series reunites the incredible voice talents of Sofia Zamberchick, Teala Dunn and Danica Lee as the voices of Linny, Tuck and Ming-Ming too respectively, along with three newcomers as the voices of Izzy, Tate and Zuri respectively. The first batch of episodes will drop at once on Friday, December 13th with the remaining episodes of the season released every Friday morning with the first season set to be completed in the new year by around February/March 2025.

The new series continues the adventures of one of the most iconic Nick Jr. preschool series of all time, produced in association with Little Airplane Productions and Apple TV+ Studios, the new series continues the award-winning franchise created by Josh Selig and Jennifer Oxley with its classical music-ified soundtrack produced by J. Walter Hawkes.

The upcoming new reboot series Wonder Pets! in the City is the seventh Nick Jr. preschool series reboot overall and the second to be released on Apple TV+ following the summer smash hit of the recently launched Yo Gabba Gabbaland! that was released back in August, and the third kids TV reboot series on the platform which also includes the 2019 Ghostwriter revival from Sesame Workshop.

Other Nickelodeon preschool series revivals includes 2011/2012's Franklin & Friends, 2015/2016's Teletubbies, 2019's Blue's Clues & You! which is set to be cancelled after the fifth season, 2023/2024's Dora the Explorer: Say Hola to Adventures and this year's hottest new additions, The Backyardigans: Cocomelon AI Edition and Yo Gabba Gabbaland!, the latter two of which premiered on July 12th and August 9th, 2024 respectively. A reboot series of Nickelodeon and CITV's My Friend Maisy is also in the works, set to be released on the BBC in October 2025.
