The most highly popular and most subscribed world record YouTube preschool series account of all time has been recruited as the newest victim of the Disney Junior linear ripoff family but they weren't supposed to release it yet. Disney Junior and The Walt Disney Company has stupid liars to their audience by deciding to premiere their new acquistion of YouTube series Cocomelon FIVE MONTHS EARLY instead of premiering the show on the Disney Channel cable and streaming platforms in January 2027 as they originally intended to.
DDisney Junior this week has recently acquired its fourth YouTube property to air on cable television in the big 2026-2027 season with the launch of Cocomelon: Playdate with Samiro Friends (Season 1, 10 episodes0 premiered on Disney Junior linear cable on Tuesday, August 4th, 2026. The new series follows corporate mascot JJ and the rest of the cast in some new professional 2D hand-drawn animation as they go aout their business in this town of the educational YouTube powerhouse which has surpassed now over 250 million subscribers and 200 billion views.
This isn't the first time Cocomelon has been stolen by a cable television network in the 2015 age of streaming as the existing YouTube videos were illegally stolen by PBS Kids Sprout, NBC Kids and Universal Kids, the three NBC children's channels in their final years before the channels went bankrupt in March 2025. A Netflix TV series, Cocomelon Lane has also been around since 2022 and is currently making top quality ratings in its fifth season.
Disney Junior's linear cable television YouTube slate also includes library YouTube channels Morphle and the Magic Pets, Little Margo Stories and Gracie's Corner and the AI-generated original series Ozzy Fox which surpassed 10,000 subscribers and 1,000,000 views in its first week alone.

Disney Chanel To Release Gravity Falls Art Book In September
Disney Channel and Barnes & Noble have announced the official release of the upcoming art book titled The Art of Gravity Falls due for release on September 15, 2026. The new biopic novel includes never before seen art, animation cels, storyboards and rejected imagery from the popular Disney Channel story arc driven cartoon series that ran from 2012-2016.
To celebrate the release of the new art book which comes out ten years after the series got killed off the air in 2016 with their series finale episode, Dipper and Mabel's voice actors John Riter and Kristen Schaal have shared some words of advice in the Barnes and Noble newsletter article.
