Bob Iger: Aren't you a little young to be reviving Disney shows back from the dead?
Dan and Swampy: Yes, yes we are.
MOM!!! Phineas and Ferb are back for a reboot cash grab - and they're taking over summer!!! The wait is finally over as after two years of production, Disney Channel, Disney XD and Disney+ are set to launch the two-season and 40-episode reboot of the greatest animated Disney series of all time, the 2007 record breaker classic Phineas & Ferb, which is set to make its triumphent return to linear cable and streaming television screens begining Thursday, June 5th at 8:00pm ET/7:00c.
The new batch of episodes which continues the adventures of Phineas Flynn and Ferb Fletcher taking a 24/7 summer vacation of 104 days where they don't have to go to school at all whatsoever, their stupid sister Candace Flynn trying to bust their brothers and get them grounded but almost never actually doing it and the insane evil of Dr. Heinz Doofenshmirtz and his crazy -inators that cause the boys' inventions to get demolished at the end of every episode before their mom can see them because Doof's plots to rule the Tri-State Area are always defeated by Agent P, Pery the Platypus.
The new series reunites creators Dan Povenmire and Jeff Swampy Marsh who have since then grew the P&F universe into other stupid unneccessary projects Milo Murphy's Law and Hamster & Gretel and composer and songwriter Danny Jacobs, along with reuniting the original voice cast and Thomas Sangster's Ferb imposter from the hit Disney+ movie Candace Against The Universe, which includes the returns of Vincent Martella as Phineas, David Enrigo Jr. as the new voice of Ferb, Ashley Tisdale (Disney's High School Musical and The Suite Life of Zack & Cody and Nickelodeon's Baby Shark's Big Show!) as Candace, Mitchell Musso (Hannah Montana, Pairs of Kings, PrankSTARS) as Jeremy, Caroline Rhea (Sabrina the Teenage Witch) as their mom Linda, Alyson Stoner (Camp Rock) as Isabella, Olivia Olson as Vanessa, animation veteran Dee Bradley Baker as Perry the Platypus and other animal sound effects, Bowling for Soup frontman and Chuck E. Cheese's 2012-present corporate mascot Jaret Reddick as the voice of the fictional piunk rock band Love Handel and series creators Povenmire and Marsh as Doofenshmirtz and Major Monogram respectively.
The first two episodes of the reboot series "Summer Blockbusters/Cloudy with a Chance of MOMballs" and "Appetites for Adventure/License to Get Busted" will premiere on Thursday, June 5th at 8pm before it gets the same fate as all the rest of Disney's recent offerings with new episodes dropping every Saturday morning at 9:00am ET/8:00c taking over the timeslot previously held by Disney's 100th animated show StuGo which airs its season one finale on May 3rd.
But wait, there's MORE! To celebrate the return of the best Disney toon ever in today's modern world of Hollywood movies and television where it's reboots galore and original ideas doesn't exist, Disney is going all out with the promotion with the series expanding into new interstitals, a new merch line of consumer products and a new soundtrack album to be released the day the new show is launched. Povenmire recently gave us a sneak preview of one of the first reboot songs "Slappy Bart Day" which he filmed the recording sessions for earlier at the beginning of the year.
The all-new generation of Phineas & Ferb will be the first next day drop on Disney+ in 2025 with the first ten episodes and the first half of the new season dropping on the streaming service on Friday, June 6th. This will be the first Disney+ title in 2025 to follow the actual next day release schedule as Disney has recently been screwing up the streaming service releases of its television programming, with the newest Disney Junior preschool series RoboGobo being released on Disney+ on April Fools Day instead of January 18th, StuGo being released in May instead of January 12th and the recently launched secnd season of Kiff being pushed to summer vacation release date.
The Phineas & Ferb reboot is one of Disney's offerings for the summer release window which also includes the highly-anticipated live-action ripoff movie of Lilo & Stitch, the Freaky Friday 2003 sequel Freakier Friday, new series Hey AJ and Magicampers, the cable linear television debut of the hit Disney+ original series Percy Jackson and the Olympians with its second season set for Christmas delivery and the highly-anticipated Disney Junior reboot and spinoff series Mickey Mouse Clubhouse+ 2.0 and MARVEL's Iron Man and his AWESOME Friends both slated for August 2025.
