Nick Jr. To Premiere Final Season of Dora the Explorer 2023 Reboot on Saturday, June 6th

Nick Jr.'s Dora the Explorer got cancelled again for the fifth time in a row and it's all Vailskibum's fault! Nickelodeon and the Nick Jr. channel are set to premiere the third and final season of the 2023 reboot of the first preschool television cash cow franchise of the 2000s current millennium on Saturday, June 6th at 10:00am/9:00c (ET/PT). Nick Jr. has also picked up the fifth season of Netflix's Gabby's Dollhouse (Season 5, 13 episodes) that will premiere on the same day at 9:30am/8:30c (ET/PT)

In the third and final season of ¡Dora!: Say Hola to Adventures (Season 11 overall, 13 episodes), viewers will join Dora, Boots, Benny, Isa, Tico, Swiper the Fox, the Fiesta Trio, the Grumpy Old Troll, the Big Red Chicken, Bip Bip the Robot, Senor Toucan and all their friends in the Mexican rainforest for one final batch of adventures of billingual Spanish teaching proportions.

In the first episode of the new season "Mami Day/Pet Day" (prod. code #1101), Dora and Boots go on a magical adventure to find a perfect present for their Mami voiced by Dora's original lead role voice actor Kathleen Herles for Mother's Day. Then in the second story, Dora and her friends celebrate Pet Day by caring for all different types of pet animals at their local school.

The Dora reboot's cancellation is one of the casualties of the recent Paramount merger with Skydance Mediaother studio, Warner Bros. and Discovery Communications. Other series that have been killed off the air due to the Paramount/Skydance merger include Tales of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, the worst TMNT incarnation of the series of all time, Star Trek: Prodigy which ended its run after its second season and was deleted from Netflix on the first day of the year and The Tiny Chef Show, a Nickelodeon series based on the YouTube channel that's basically a Fred Figglehorn ripoff.

Though the 2023/24 reboot of Dora will sadly be dead after this final season, it's possible that the franchise's first spinoff series Go, Diego, Go! will be getting a reboot in the same Little Goose/Pipeline Studios CGI animation form as well since Diego was brought back in CGI form in the "Dora and Diego: Rainforest Rescues" special released last year for the show's 25th birthday.

Nickelodeon and Paramount+ are currently in the process of making their next Nick Jr. series based on the BOOM Comics anime graphic novel HexVet and the Magic Pets set for release later this fall. Additionally, Paramount is in production on two Nickelodeon preschool series based on the books of Mo Willems called The Pigeon Show Starring The Pigeon and The Elephant & Piggie Show! set for release in 2027. Netflix will also released the upcoming Victorious reboot Hollywood Arts later this year. Also in the works is a new Paramount+ animated series of Garfield and a Henry Danger spinoff series with Jace Norman.

RIP Dora the Explorer 2000-2026, muchas gracias for the memories. Te amo todos amigos very much. We love your show and hope you'll get reincarinated again sometime in the near future.
