Anew chapter of Disney television is about to take effect as The Walt Disney Company has recently rebranded its linear/streaming Disney Channel TV division Disney Branded Television being renamed to the new title of Disney Branded TV Kids & Family. The new brand change comes within a week of Disney's new projects being unveiled at this year's Annecy convention.
Among the new projects ordered for the 2026-28 season includes Journey (working title) based on incredible discoveries of American history produced by Hidden Ground Productions fronted by the President Obama Administration of President Barack and First Lady Michelle Obama and a Mickey Mouse Clubhouse bootleg ripoff of the '90s holiday movie classic Mickey's Home Alone which is due for release on Disney Junior and Disney+ in November/December 2026.
The new shakeup comes as Disney's new parents Josh D'Amaro and Dana Walden take their first year as boss of the 103-year-old mouse house giant following the recent resignation of Disney's golden age boss Bob Iger who has been in charge of the company since 1the ABC merger in 1996.
