Another iconic IP and nostalgia bait of Disney TV history is about to be killed off the air never to be seen again. Disney Channel and Walt Disney Television Animation have today announced the date for the final episodes of The Proud Family: Louder and Prouder (Season 2, Episodes 11-20), the 2022 revival of the very first Disney Channel original animated series released on September 21, 2001. Disney is slated for the iconic property to die with the series finale murder set to premiere on Wednesdy, July 29th at 6pm/5c airing across Disney Channel, Disney XD, Toon Disney, Jetix and Disney+ (ET/PT)
The revival series follows the continuing adventures of Kyla Pratt, Tommy Davidson, Jo Malaii Parker, Cedric Kyles the Entertainer and Destiny's Child as they continue on their everyday struggles throughout the hussle and bussle of everyday life in the Hollywood/New York movies & TV industry. The upcoming death of the revival series brings an official end to the 25-year-old franchise after four seasons and a movie running for almost 100 episodes.
However, the franchise is slated to continue to live on making new content in the form of other merchandise and TV material with Disney recently renewing their contract withh the Penny Proud legacy's two creators Bruce W. Smith and Ralph Farquhar which includes a new The Proud Family: Wizmas stop-motion Christmas special with Stupid Buddy Studios (the company behind Mickey Mouse Clubhouse franchise stop-motion content since November 2022) and a new Penny Proud walkaround costume character mascot used for meet and greet sessions at Disney Parks.
