7 New Shows for the 2nd Half of 2017

Nickelodeon has announced that it will revamp the mobile subscription service app of its former NOGGIN preschool TV channel with totally awesome new interactive play-along videos from Wednesday May 31st, 2017!

Additionally, the app had made some unfortunate news that it will e dropping Play Along with Sam, the Nick Jr. Australia series starring former The Wiggles member Sam Moran from their lineup on the same day. There is currently no word from the company on whether Sam will come back to the states or if PAWS will be gone for good.

On the bright side though, there will be seven more new programs releasing this year, including the 3 IOS-only exclusively interactive Blaze and the Monster Machines (26 episodes), Bubble Guppies (22 episodes) and Team Umizoomi (30 episodes). Additional titles joining the app this year include Tickety Toc (26 episodes), Dora the Explorer (100 episodes), Zack & Quack (44 episodes) and Peppa Pig (44 episodes).

The idea of using interactive play-along videos technology has expanded for the last couple of decads meaning that each shows' actors and animated characters will speak towards the viewer. This idea comes from SNickelodeon's trademark call-and-response format shows including Blue's Clues, Dora the Explorer and Go Diego Go plus the most recent Blaze and the Monster Machines and Wallykazam to name a few.

At launch, there will be 31 of these play-along videos abailable including Blaze and the Minster Machines, Bubble Guppies & Team Umizoomi (5 episodes each) and short-form content featuring NOGGIN's beloved hosts Moose & Zee (16 episodes). According to a few news articles, Nickelodeon plans to have almost 100 of these videos by Christmas 2018.

NOGGIN, the hit video subscription service from Nickelodeon, Sesame Workshop, Nelvana and DHX Media, now in its 2nd year, is a great place for kids to find all of their favorite Nickeloeon shows. The app is available on iOS, Android, Apple TV, Amazon Kindle Fire, TMonile Binge On, Alcatel TCL Xess and Roku Players & TV devices. It currently ranks as one of the top ten most grossing kids apps in the US iTunes App Store and localized versions have been made in Mexico, South America and Portugal. To date, NOGGIN has 31 series available including the recently added Twirlywoos, Yo Gabba Gabba, Trucktown, Miffy & Friends and Teletubbies. NOGGIN, the hit mobile subscription service from Nickelodeon, SEsame Workshop, Nelvana and DHX Media has announced that it wil be expanding to new platforms including Android, Apple TV and Kindle tablets from November 18, 2015 and will add eight new shows during its 2016-2017 content season, beginning with popular Nick Jr series Go Diego Go bowing today. Additional programs joining the lineup include Nick Jr. series Miffy & Friends, Play Along with Sam and Wonder Pets, the English dub of Pocoyo Planet; a 2013 web series from the Spanish Pocoyo YouTube channel, Nelvana Canadian series Trucktown, Sony Pictures Japanese series Mofy and all 365 1997-2001 episodes of Teletubbies.

In addition, NOGGIN wil launch its first international versions in South America and Portugal. The lineup for the Spanish version will include the following shows:

Can you believe that TODAY 30 YEARS ago Nick Jr was launched in 1988? Time sure does fly when you're having fun. Since then we have launched a whole slew of great programs, great continuity, great announcers including the legendary CHRIS PHILLIPS and great hosts like the legendary FACE and PIPER O'POSSUM. And we couldn't do anything we wanted to do without YOU! THANKS FOR WATCHING!

Thanks to you, the last three decades have been quite a ride. There have been over 120 programs made with five more to come this year. I hope that you will continue to enjoy watching Nick Jr for years to come.
