Cartoon Network Kills Off Its Continuity Branding - Primal Screen Animation Studios SHutting Down Next Month

 One of the greatest animation studios of all time,Primal Screen, the team behind the graphics branding and continuity on-air promos for Cartoon Network since 1994, has announced that they will be shutting down.

Primal Screen is set to close its doors by the end of March and is no longer taking new employees or ordering new projects. It's not given specifics on when exactly in May that the stdio will be shut down and demolished.

Thanks for everything you've brought to the animation industry and rest in peace.

PBS Kids Celebrates 30th Anniversary with Launch of New Retro Channel on Roku

 From the town of PTV Park to the golden age of Dot and Dash, PBS Kids turns 30 years old on Thursday, July 11th and to celebrate, PBS and Roku have joined forces to create an all-new PBS children's network dedicated to both the young and the young at heart.

Launching today on the Roku app and Roku TV channels, the all-new PBS Kids Retro channel offers a special catalog of over 55 years of classic quality children's television made possible by the United States Department of Education, the Corporation for Public Broadcasting's PBS Kids Ready to Learn television cooperative agreement grant, and of course, by contributions to your local PBS and PBS Kids stations from Viewers Like You. Thank You!

At launch, PBS Kids Retro will have five classic PBS Kids shows available to revisit both for millennial fans and for their newly born offspring, including every single episode of their very first series that the PBS Kids network has ever made, Mister Fred Rogers' Neighborhood (1968-2001), the first twelve seasons Model Era of Thomas & Friends (1984-present), which since then has gotten its episodes owned, distributed and broadcasted by Nickelodeon, Cartoon Network and Netflix, Reading Rainbow hosted by the cool factors of LeVar Burton (1983-2006) and the other two series from the Kratt Brothers' catalog, including Zoboomafoo (1999-2001) and their one-hit wonder Kratts' Creatures (1996).

Other classic shows from the PBS Kids library including Barney & Friends (1988-present) with its upcoming reboot Barney's World set to be released on Cartoonito later this year, the first 33 seasons and 4,000 episodes of Sesame Street (1969-present) cuurently in its 54th-55th seasons on Cartoon Network and Max, Shari Lewis' Lamb Chop's Play-Along franchise (1992-1999), The Puzzle Place (1995-1998), BBC's UK port The Noddy Shop (1998-1999) and the Where in the World is Carmen Sandiego? game show collection (1991-1997) starring Tony-winning late great Lynne Thigpen of Disney Channel's preschool pioneer hit Playhouse Disney/Disney Junior series Jim Henson's Bear in the Big Blue House are also set to be available on the service in the coming months.

Australian Advertising Clickbait - Bluey Cancelled AFter Three Seasons, Wraps Production Despite Hiatus Statement

 It seems like all good things come to an end as one of the #1 modern 2D-animated preschool series of all time, Australian-based Bluey from ABC for Kids/Australian Broadcasting Corporation, CBeebies BBC Studios Worldwide and The Walt Disney Company is no more. The show has recently been getting less airtime across Disney Channel and Disney Junior and for good reason too. Earlier this month, Bluey has aired what could be the last ever episodes "The Sign" and "Surprise".

In the hour-long series finale, first in the 28-minute mini-movie special "The Sign" which premiered on Sunday, April 14th (production code #351), Bluey, Bandit and their Heeler family are in some sticky situation of Joe Biden/Gordon Brown budget inflation trouble where they are quarreling over the decision of whether or not to sell their house and move on with their stupid dog lives. Then in the epilogue story "Surprise" which premiered earlier this week on Sunday, April 21st (production code #352, series finale), the title character grows up into an adult caricature of himself and gives birth to his own child puppy of his own, named Noah, presumably leaking a spinoff series of sorts.

After airing for over six years and around 78 episodes of around 56 short 7-minute stories, it seems like the television heaven has come for this cartoon dog family from down under. Back in late October 2023, the show's creators and company execs had announced that the show would be taking a break between season three and four, but so far, there are currently no plans by ABC iView to make a fourth season.

It seems the announcement has been outdated and the show has been cancelled because of the announcement of an indefinite hiatus. This proves once again of how stupid some TV production crews are about being big fat liars of false advertising and lying to their audiences. Whenever a TV crew says that the show is going on hiatus or taking a break, it means the series is indeed automatically cancelled.

Case in point: UK-based ITV1's Ant & Dec's Saturday Night Takeaway had recently been killed off the air for good for the third time around following the climax of the 23rd season earlier this month, with no plans to make a 24th season or to bring the show back at all whatsoever.

So as the sun sets on this Australian Peppa Pig ripoff bootleg that has stood the test of time alongside the likes of the Osbourne family, The Wiggles, Play School, Delta Goodrum, Kylie Minogue and Hi-5, the entire Disney staff wants to give a big thanks and congratulations to Joel Brumm and all the team who made this cartoon happened over the years, that has since gone on to be an RIAA and ARIA gold and platinum award-winning bestsellers success.

Laurie Berkner Releases Official Soundtrack Album for Razor & Tie's "We Are.... The Laurie Berkner Band!" 2006 DVD

 In the later autumn of 2006, Laurie Berkner's self-produced band had their last gig with their original bassist Brian Muller, when their 2006 video release "We Are.... The Laurie Berkner Band!" originally hit the DVD stores shelves furnished by Razor & Tie Entertainment. Now 18 years later and after a whopper of a only five-track CD companion, the now 27-year-old catalog of the queen of preschool music back in the late '90s to early 2010s has made the CD version real.

Berkner's labels Razor & Tie and Two Tomatoes Records LLC. along with her newer distributor Concord Records have joined forces with Kidz Bop, the worst children's pop culture ripoff artist of all time, to make a new CD version of the award-winning 2006 video released that has been loved and endured by generations of kids who have frew up listening to her music and watching her award-winning music videos across Nickelodeon, Cartoon Netwrok, PBS Kids Sprout and Universal Kids.

Remix Songs At An Alltime Low - The Wiggles Release First EDM Album

 After outraging their fans with their terrible Baby Shark crossover, it seems as if the greatest preschool music artist band of all time from down under have ripped them off once again. The world's #1 preschool band The Wiggles has released their first ever EDM dance remix rave album and it took them 33 years of their own catalog to do so.

The new album, dubbed The Wiggles Sound System: Rave of Innocence features a whole slew of the band's catalog of both classic and modewrn hits with a cringy EDM dance remix rave party version of their innocent children's songs that nobody asked for. A majority of these remixes include newer vocal recordings from Greg Page, who quit the band twice in 2006 and 2013.

Preschool TV En Espanol - Nickelodeon and Paramount+ Launch Dora the Explorer Reboot

 America's favorite millennial Spanish kids TV icon Dora the Explorer is back in the newest CGI animated offering of kids television from Paramount+ and Nick Jr. The all-new series Dora: Say Hola to Adventure! launched on Friday morning with 13 all-new episodes.

The new series once again follows Dora, Boots and their rainforest animals on more adventures in their local environment along with the aid of her talking map and backpack and that sneaky fox Swiper, voiced once again by Marc Weiner (Weinerville) along with her new parents Mami (Kathleen Herles) and Papi (Michael Smith Rivera). Along the way, Dora introduces words and phrases in Spanish to USA viewers and in English to international markets around the world.

The first two episodes "Tres Leches Trouble/Wizzle Wazzle Woo" and "The Magic Nuts/Rainforest Ritmo" were leaked on the franchise's YouTube channel on September 30th and October 14th respectively.

Now for some stupid reason, Paramount+ and other streaming services have the idiocracy to split the season of their original SVOD TV shows into smaller chunks and put into three smaller batches released in later parts of the year. So unfortunately, you're gonna have to wait until Hispanic Heritage Month for the second half of the episodes to be released.

Dora the Explorer: Say Hola to Adventure! is the recent of classic properties to jump onto the all reboots and no original ideas allowed train, among the likes of Blue's Clues & You! which is set to be cancelled after the fifth season, Franklin & Friends, Face's Music Party and the upcoming Apple TV+ reboot series Yo Gabba Gabba!land, the latter of which set to release on August 9th this year.

Apple TV+ Says Magic WOrds for August 9 Release Date of Yo Gabba Gabba! Reboot

 The iTunes streaming video service Apple TV+ is set to reopen its doors to the magical Nick Jr. town of Gabbaland with the reboot series of the 2007 classic Yo Gabba Gabba!, set to bow on Apple TV+ on Friday August 9th. DJ Lance and his magical mascot creations are back to razzle dazzle and go crazy for a whole new generation of old and new fans alike.

The new series (Season 5, 20 x 22-minute episodes) was first announced in September 2021, two months after following the death of hip-hop rapper Biz Markie, who did the "Biz's Beat of the Day" beatbox tutorials segment on the original series, but up until now, hasn't gotten any first looks or official release dates for the platform.

All the classic team and voice cast return for the new episodes, including Leslie Hall, art teacher Mark Mothersbaugh of DEVO who also created Rugrats for Nickelodeon and Dance A Lot Robot for Disney Channel, composer and songwriter and former Aquabats! prince Adam Deibert as Muno the tall and friendly cyclops, Emma Jacobs as Foofa the pink and happy flower bubble, Amos Waterine as Brobee the little green one monster, Erin Pearce as Toodee the cat-dragon who likes to have fun and series creator and Aquabats MC bat commander frontman Christian Jacobs as Plex the magic robot, as well as Joel Fox who plays the stupid cry baby Gooble. The new series also introduces us to DJ Lance Rock Robertson's new co-host, his son Kammy Kam, played by 12-year-old Karryn Smith.

It's currently unknown who the Dancey Dance celebrities and Super Music Friends Show artists will be for the new generation, although The Aquabats and Devo are most likely to return. It's also unknown who will be the new beatbox instructor since Markie is no longer with us.

The new YGG sequel reboot series will be dubbed to Yo Gabba Gabba!land and is the latest installment in the long line of Apple TV+ reboots of classic children's shows from decades gone by, which also includes the successful 2019 comeback of PBS Kids and CBBC's Ghostwriter and a welcome return of Jim Henson's Fraggle Rock: Back to the Rock which recently premiered its second season.

Spring Cleaning - Paramount+ Illegally Remoges 17 More Nick Classics

It seems as if the era of illegal tax writeoffs and job layoffs is about to get even worse as Paramount+ has done some spring cleaning over the easter holidays. A total of 17 more Nickelodeon programs has been unreasonably removed from the Paramount+ streaming service until further notice:

Howver despite these shows removed, doesn't actually mean that they're really cancelled. Both Big Nate and Rugrats 2021 are still ought to be renewed for an additional third season of episodes each and both series still air weekly on the Nicktoons linear TV channel.

According to Paramount boss Bob Bakish and Nickelodeon bosses Brian Robbins and Ramsey Naito have said that the reason for more of these unacceptable content removals and cancellations means that they were looking to invest more on franchises that have mass global appeal, such as Blue's Clues, Dora the Explorer, PAW Patrol, SpongeBob SquarePants, The Loud House, Rugrats, Star Trek, Transformers, Monster High, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles and its newest Nicktoon franchise Rock Paper Scissors, which premiered in February 2024

Some of these content removals actually make kinda sense this time around as Nickelodeon has wrapped production of That Girl Lay Lay and Blue's Clues & You. That Girl Lay Lay wrapped its second and final season last week, with Blue's Clues & You! set to air its final fifth season at a later date.

It's currently unknown where all the deleted Paramount+ Nickelodeon content will be migrated to next, although its very possible that they will join the Netflix roster alongside the upcoming second season of Star Trek: Prodigy and the second and third seasons of the recently successful live-action reboot of Avatar: The Final Airbender. All deted Paramount+, Netflix and Max programs will also be migrated into the Disney+ streaming service from the Walt Disney Company, under its new Disney+ Hulu merger hub which released earlier this month.

Spanish Capitalism - Nickelodeon to Bow Dora the Explorer Reboot on Friday, April 12th

 After seven months of leaking their first two episodes on YouTube, Nickelodeon and its preschool
platforms Nick Jr., Noggin and Paramount+ are slated to fully premiere the highly-anticipated preschool series reboot of 2024, Dora the Explorer: Say Hola to Adventures on Friday, April 12th. The new CGI reboot series (ninth season overall) is also slated to premiere on Nick Jr.'s UK and GLobal feeds on Monday, April 15th and will drop on other international feeds throughout the year.

The new series (Season 9, 26 episodes x 52 11-minute stories) follows Dora and Boots' newest amigos Diana Zermeno and Asher Spencer as they venture on all-new adventures in the rainforest households. With the new series, all your favorite characters return including Dora Marquez, Boots the Monkey, Benny the Bull, Isa the Iguana, Tico the Squirrel, Backpack, a drag queen imposter of The Map, a new Fiesta Trio (the blue frog is joined by an armadillo and a marmasett), the Big Red Chicken and that sneaky fox Swiper who is more savage than ever.

The new reboot reunites Marc Weiner and series creator Chris Gillford with Kathleen Herles, the original voice of the title character who returns as the voice of Dora's mom, Mami and her new Papi dad, this time being voiced by Michael Smith Rivera. This new batch episodes is once again animated by the incredible team of Funline Animation, who have been forced to be put up with Dora's stupid awkward pauses shenanigans since day one at the beginning of the millennium.

The new Dora series continues the franchise created by Chris Gillford, Valerie Walsh-Valdes and Eric Weiner, produced by Nickelodeon Animation Studios and Funline Animation for Paramount Television Network, produced in association with Pipeline Studios (Elinor Wonders Why and Alma's Way for PBS Kids), Little Goop Entertainment and Walsh-Valdes Television Productions.

The first two episodes "Tres Leches Trouble/Wizzle Wazzle Woo" and "The Magic Nut/Rainforest Ritmo" were leaked at the end of last year on September 30th-October 21st, 2023 in celebration of the rebranding Bubble Guppies into the Dora the Explorer YouTube Channel. The two episodes were then leaked onto Noggin SVOD and Paramount+ on November 10th, 2023 over Veterans Day weekend.

Disney Shuts Dowb Movie Club This July As Company Signs New Physical Media Deal with Sony Pictures Home Entertainment

 After 23 years On the internet, Disney Movie Club will be shut down on Saturday July 20th, 2025 with the Final subscription cart offers being placed on Monday May 20th. The vudei ordering Websites closure comes off as Disney signs a new deal with Sony Pictures Home Entertainment. Song will be the new distributor for Disney’s physical Media of DVD and 4K Bluray releases go help the young Mouseketeers get back on top of the film charts after their centennial had a ton of box office flops for no reason at all whatsoever.

Oh My God, They Killed Moose! - Paramount and Nickelodeon Announce Death of Noggin SVOD App

 This past Valentines Day, Paramount Global has illegally fired and laid off 800 of their own staff, which spoils some very unfortunate news for Nickelodeon's Kidscreen and Webby-award winning Noggin app and Smart TV channel, which has been home to some of Nick Jr.'s biggest hits from over the last 35 years.

Nickelodeon and Paramount today have announced the tragic news today that its award-winning streaming app revival of its defunct Noggin TV channel will be shutting down after at least April 7, 2025, following the illegal layoff of their own staff, Big Boss and General Manager Kristen Kane, SVP of Learning and Impact Michael Levine, Creative Director Lasette Canody, Music & Sound Design Producer Christopher Cerf, teacher Emmanuel Carter, hosts Stephanie Wong, Christopher Jackson, Trinidad Richardson, Keith Alexander, Shana Sharp, Daryl McDaniels, Erin Joy McDwowell, Dan Kohler and Shana Sharp, and Board of Advisors Tammy Clegg and Jenny Radetszky.

The news comes as earlier this year, Nickelodeon has shuttered it s Nickelodeon and Nick Jr. apps and Paramount has killed their MTV, Comedy Central and Paramount Network streaming app counterparts.

CUrrently, Paramount+ does not have the following Noggin titles available yet on their platform: Alphabeats, Balloon Builders, Big Hearts Belong, Dance Squad, JoJo & Gran Gran, Kinderwood, Moose & Zee, Noggin Knows, Numberblocks, Pop Up Problem Solvers, School of YUM, Troop Dragonfly, What's The Word? and Wild Words.

When Paramount+ was launched in March 2021, Noggin was kept separate from the other closed Nickelodeon streaming services (NickHits, NickSplat on VRV, etc.) because of the app's availability to games, play-along episodes/videos, art and music lab activities and eBooks, including the recently launched Nogginville MMO that Paramount+ doesn't offer. It's currently unknown whether or not the Noggin interactive content including games and play-along episodes, ebooks, art and music labs and other content will be intergrated into Paramount+ anytime sooner or later once when the Noggin app and website shuts down forever.

Currently, no date has been put for the closure of the Nogin app yet and the full list of games, play-along videos, episodes and eBooks will be posted toi this blog around the time when the app fully shuts down forever after almost ten years on the app stores.

Disney Does The Stupid Impossible of Losing Their OWN Copyright As Their Birth Masterpiece "Steamboat Willie" Enters The Public Domain

 It's the beginning of another year and unfortunately it's starting on a sour note for The Walt Disney Company who have just came out of an incredible 100th anniversary centennial milestone. After a wonderous century across the globe, Disney has unfortunately had the stupidity to expire their own copyright on their own mascot.

As the clock strikes midnight on just another Dick Clark New Year's Eve, the very first Walt Disney Company masterpieces Steamboat Willie, Plane Crazy and The Gallopin' Groucho, first released to the world on November 18, 1928 is finally entering the Public Domain, which means that the Disney studio's loyal fanbase can do whatever they want with the studio's humble beginnings, with zero copyright infringement lawsuits at all whatsoever. However, they are only limited to make bootleg stuff with the 1928 version only, as Disney still owns the rights for the rest of the Mickey Mouse catalog with its morerecognizable designs of white gloves, red shorts and yellow shoes.

The Walt Disney Company was born on October 16, 1923 and its first characters and the century-old corporation's iconic mascots Mickey & Minnie Mouse were first created by Walt Disney and his shameless disrespected partner Ub Iwerks on November 18, 1928 when Steamboat Willie first hit movie theater screens, which was then followed by the first animated motion picture in history, Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs in 1937, followed by the company's national anthems of Pinocchio and Fantasia in 1940 and the OSCAR® Academy Awards record breaker Mary Poppins in 1964 with millions of other great Disney works to follow after that. And the rest, as they say, has been history.

But here's another interesting piece of trivia for your mouse ears nostalgia, the Mickey Mouse characters were originally shown in prototype form six months earlier in the short Plane Crazy, but the Disney mascot was named Mortimer instead of Mickey. This was changed rapidly due to Walt Disney's wife Lillian Disney told him to change the name of the character because she didn't feel like the name of Mortimer would never stick to the mascot's name very much. Since then, the name Mortimer has been given to Mickey & Minnie's arch nemesis imposter voiced by Maurice LaManche.

And this isn't even the only Disney property to face sudden defeat by the public domain of unfortunate tragic copyright expiration. The 1926 A.A. Milne classic Winnie the Pooh went into the public domain two years ago, which led to the horror movie bootleg ripoff Winnie the Pooh: Blood and Honey released last year. So it's just a matter of time and also no surprise that we might start seeing illegal Mickey Mouse horror films somewhere down the line.

Donald Duck, voiced by Tony Anselmo and select shorts from the Silly Symphonies series which is a musical retelling of classic fairytales are also set to follow public domain suits in 2025.
