In celebration of the 25th anniversary of Disney's two preschool channels Playhouse Disney and Disney Junior, the Walt Disney Company has announced the order pickup of four all new programs to debut on the Disney platforms in the years to come.
The Disney preschool network's 2022-2024 television upfront seasons were announced by Ava Davis during a panel at today's Playhouse Disney & Disney Junior Fan Fest! celebration at the Disney's California Adventure theme park of Disneyland Resort in Anaheim, CA which turns 67 years old on July 17th.
Among the Disney pre-K titles planned include four all-new series Hey AJ!, The Kindergarten Musical, Robogobo and Super Kitties, along with new short-form content Mickey * Me and a new miniseries of Winnie the Pooh, plus the season 2 renewal of Alice in Wonderland's Bakery and the release dates unveiled for its new series Eureka! and new seasons of Mickey Mouse Funhouse and Spiderman & His Amazing Friends debuting in June and August 2022 respectively

On this day 20 YEARS AGO, one of the saddest moments of children's television history. After 6 years and nearly 100 episodes of Blue's Clues in the can, Steven Burns quit the show and the torch was passed to Donovan Patton as Joe who would later go on to voice Bot on Nick Jr's math series Team Umizoomi.
Although Burns' departure was sad, the press releases went really crazy that day. As it was announced that Burns would be quitting the show in April 2002, a whole slew of terrifying internet rumors were flying here and there. Many of these had the terrible rumor hoax thinking that Steve died after his time on the show came to an end, which was NOT true. According to the 2006 documentary short film Behind the Clues: 10 Years with Blue, Burns unleashed the whole truth of he actually leaving the show due to his rapid hair loss and that he wanted to look good when doing a kids television show.
In 2007, Burns returned to the kiddie market when he and The Flaming Lips guitarist Steven Drozd released "I Hog the Ground" for Noggin's Jack's Big Music Show. 10 years later, Burns released his first children's album with Drozd, entitled ForEverywhere which included the hit single "Tue Unicorn and Princess Rainbow"
Since 2019, Burns and Patton have both returned to the new variation of the franchise Blue's Clues & You! with the show now hosted by Asian-Fillipino Joshua Dela Cruz and his grandma Carolyn Fe which recently got renewed for a season 5 of 26 episodes with a feature-length Big City Adventure movie ripoff of Disney-Mattel's SpiderMan scheduled to release on Paramount+ in November and a live stage Broadway musical kicking off its national North American tour this fall with tickets going on sale in July.

PAW Patrol 2 Hour-Long Movie Revs Up Onto Noggin SVOD
This Easter, we're taking it towards the Grand Prix in PAW Patrol 2: Ready Race Rescue, the 2019 second hour-long PAW Patrol movie which is now streaming on NOGGIN.
In this movie, the PAW Patrol dogs put on their best Disney-Pixar CARS impersonation and head down towards the NASCAR® Adventure Bay 500 Race. But when Humdinger and his stupid villain family make it all go wrong by stealing everybody else's race car parts, it's up to Marshall to rev up to Sweet Victory and put Humdinger and Cheetah back in the jail cell pits where they belong.
The movie had its red-carpet premiere at the NASCAR® Racetracks in Richmont, Virginia and introduces the characters of THE WHOOSHvoiced by Joseph Motiki of fellow Nick Jr. series Top Wing (2017-2020) and the villainous Cheetah voiced by Addison Holley.
It's currently unknown whether or not the 7th season which contained the show's third hour-long movie Jet to the Rescue released in September 2020 will be released to Paramount Global's preschool SVOD app/channel.
The show recently got picked up for a 10th anniversary season of 26 episodes set to unleash in April 2023 and announced that Rubble the construction worker dog would be getting his own show later in the Fall that year. Also releasing next year is the SPOOKTACULAR highly-anticipated theatrical movie sequel PAW Patrol 2: The Mighty Pups Movie which will release on October Friday the 13th 2023
Watch all nine seasons of PAW Patrol every day on Nickelodeon, Nick Jr., Noggin and Paramount+. The first six seasons are also available on Noggin and Paramount+ SVODs. Windows XP Shutting Down - Aladdin & Cyberchase Voice Actor Gilbert Gottfried Dead At Age 67
It looks like Hacker isn't getting beaten today
We are so saddened to report the death of the legendary comedian Gilbert Gottfried who passed away this morning at the age of 67 years old.
Gottfried was first brought to the animated world as the voice of Iago in the 1992 Disney Classic Aladdin which later expanded from a movie trilogy into a television series. His iconic role led him to voicing Digit the Parrot on the long-running PBS Kids math series Cyberchase a math cartoon about three kids using mathematic powers to destroy Hacker voiced by none other than Back to the Future legend Dr. CHristopher Lloyd who is most famous for playing Emmett Brown of the Future Institute of Technology from the award-winning '80s movie powerhouse.
It is currently unknown whether or not Cyberchase will get cancelled or have episodes postponed or get renewed for another season because of this loss. It is also unknown if Gottfried recorded any more Digit voice lines for new episodes to air posthumous after his untimely death this Tuesday morning. Gottfried's loss also causes even more difficulty for the Disney Mouse House on whether or not new Aladdin content will be made or if he will get a new voice actor to replace him or if both sides will dedicate him with some kind of tribute credit or anything else like that.
Farewell Gilbert. Thank you for over 20+ years of a crime-fighting PBS powerhouse that has helped generations of children increased their mathematics skills as well as providing a comedic performance for one of the greatest Disney movie franchises of our generation. You will dearly be missed by everybody. :(

Things took a really dark turn at this year's 94th annual Oscars Academy Awards® broadcasted on Disney-ABC on March 27th. Chris Rock was just minding his own business trying to do an innocent job presenting the next category. But then he took it a little bit too far when he promoted GI Jade II through making a joke about Will Smith's wife Jada Smith which unfortunately pulled the trigger for the Men in Black and The Fresh Princes of Bel-Air actor and rapper.
At this moment, Smith realized that Chris was taking it too far. He got up out of his seat in the crowd, went up on stage and smacked Chris Rock in the face (and they ACTUALLY ALLOWED THIS to air on Disney's ABC channel and get away with it). Rock tried to rub it off thinking Smith was being too sensitive and that it was just a comedy joke, but Smith was not having any word of it as he angrilly swore at the Bee Movie and Madagascar III: Europe's Most Wanted star "KEEP MY WIFE'S NAME OUT OF YOUR FREAKING MOUTH!!!!!!" and went back to his seat in frustration.
The slap was so PAINFUL to watch that one of the stage managers demanded Smith to be escorted out of the theater after beating up another celebrity live on national television. But in true awards show style, Smith threw a curse word shade at them, which reminds us that you can't tell Will Smith what to do because he's a multi-millionaire.
Unfortuantely after the ceremony, the public was not happy and wrote to Chris Rock about the incident with sympathy. They were all hoping for Rock that this never happened and that this was supposed to be his night. Even Smith himself apologized to him on his social media the day after the ceremony but unfortunately, it was too little, too late. Luckilly, Rock wasn't accused and didn't have to pay any charges.
