On This Day - Teletubbies Premiered

 EH OH! On this day, 24 YEARS AGO, BBC's Teletubbies was born to the nation. The series which debuted on March 31st on that year served as a new era of preschool programming for both the young and the young at heart.

Created by Ragdoll Productions founders Anne Wood CBE and Andrew Davenport, music by Andrew McCrourie-Shand and narration by Tim Whitmall, Toyah Wilcox (Brum) and Rolf Saxon, plus starring the original version cast of Dave Thompson, the late Simon Shelton-Barnes, John Simmit, Nikky Smeedley (Boohbah) and OG CBeebies host Pui Fan Lee (Show Me, Show Me)

The ideas for the Teletubbies world originally came from the ideas and concepts from other such famous franchises as Power Rangers, Benny Hill and BBC veteran Monty Python's Flying Circus starring John Cleese, Eric Idle, Tery Gillian and the late Graham Chapman in the title role.

When the series first launched, people were unsure of whether or not it would do a success. The series' creators were also sentenced to court and have to appear on a few news stories (mostly from BBC News 24) to prove their innosence that the series would do well despite a few rumors that it would decrease children's lack of educational values, social skills and language learning abilities.

Luckilly, the series proved to be a huge success with two eras of the series including a 2015 reboot, a 10-minute international spinoff Teletubbies Everywhere which launched in 2002 and was included on both PBS and BBC video titles of the show, theme park appearances, live musicals/concerts and an appearance on The PaulO'Grady Show. The franchise which hits 25 next year still shows no sign of slowing down

A third season of the 2015 reboot produced by Ragdoll and BBC for Darrall Macqueen, InGenius, DHX Media and WildBrain has yet to be announced.

Trilogy Rebooting Jay Jay the Jet Plane?

 If any of you have been catching up with reboots of your favorite kids programs from the past couple years, you know that one of the reboot for VeggieTales is designed by Trilogy Animation Group. However, Trilogy may have another famous face coming back up their sleeves.

It has recently been confirmed that a reboot of PBS' Jay Jay the Jet Plane is also currently in development. However, there is no release date or press release information about what to expect. All the source that we have right now is a concept art photo on the company's official website.

If any of you grew up with Jay Jay the Jet Plane, then you are all probably aware of this powerhouse preschool phenomena and its weird nightmare fuel-styled face designs. The original series combined CGI characters with live-action portrayers, a style which would later be used again for Team Umizoomi on Nick a decade later in 2010.

Luckilly, Trilogy will be doing its best to take the creepiness out of an innocent preschol show. The reboot as of now is titled The New World of Jay Jay the Jet Plane and will be given a 2D animation style, making it lest creepy and more easier on the eyes for both newcomers and longtime fans.

Jay Jay the Jet Plane is among one of the few toddler shows of yesteryear to be reborn to the digital technology stage. The recent slate of preschool reboots includes Adventures of Padington Bear, Blue's Clues & You!, The Clangers, Clifford the Big Red Dog, the upcoming live-action Dora the Explorer, Muppet Babies, Teletubbies, the upcoming Maggie and the Ferocious Beast Show reboot (2022/2033), the upcoming Thomas & Friends Season 25: All Engines Go! (bows on Cartoon Network in October) and The VeggieTales Show. Reboots of Angelina Ballerina and Barney & Friends have also been in production but since its 2015 greenlight have not premiered yet.

The reboot of Jay Jay will draw in a new generation and will give them visuals that are not terrifying and let them sleep well at night.

Nickelodeon Airs PAW Patrol Musical LIVE VIA SATELITE Two Nights Only

 Nickelodeon, Spin Master and VStar have join forces to bring the all new PAW Patrol Live! 3: At Home Edition, a two night-only virtual broadcast of the five-year running Broadway celebration of the eight-year-old dog phemonena.

Now greenlit for 9 seasons of 234 episodes, five hour-long TV films, theme park appearances and a theatrical movie up their paws, PAW Patrol shows no sign of slowing down no matter how hard you try.

PAW Patrol Live! At Home Edition will run for two nights only on Saturday April 24 and Sunday April 25 at 10:00AM, 12:00PM and 5:00PM each day.

The pre-show/after-party for this once in a lifetime broadcast will include games, videos and printable activities which can also be found at nickjr.com, noggin.com and the series' official website at www.pawpatrol.com

On the week of Monday April 26th, kids and parents can book a single or group ticket to rewatch the footage until Sunday May 2nd.

The content is produced in association with Walter Family FOundation and Sparkle, which Noggin acquired two years ago.

Paramount+ Uploads Long-Lost Nick Jr Series "Eureeka's Castle"

 Paramount+ today uploaded three more series from the Nick archives including Double Dare 2018 and the reupload of Ryan's Mystery Playdate

But however, the third addition came as a surprise to longtime fans of Nickelodeon's preschool slate for over 33 years.

Today, Nickelodeon and Paramount+ have FINALLY brought SVOD access to the long-lost Nick Jr. series Eureeka's Castle (1989-1995) which bows today as part of the launch month celebration.

The iconic hour-long series follows the royal wizard and her group of friends as they venture through the royal whelms of their environment and teach children educational curriculum, problem solving and self-regulation skills.

NOGGIN Receives New Layout Refresh

 This past St. Patrick's Day, NOGGIN, Nickelodeon's top-ratedd 2015 SVOD app/channel revival of its legendary TV channel that ran from 1999-2009 has recieved another layout refresh

The new layout is for the buttons on the top of the screen with the activity titles used since August 2020, "Watch", "Play", "Read" and "Learn".

* Play - Now all of the games and play-along episodes are available in one seperate webpage instead of splitting them into two seperate ones.
* Watch - For the first time in four years, NOGGIN has made it more easier to find the episode title and season your children are looking for. The episodes are finally back in their old positions being divided up into the seasons they come from and what season each episode is in.
* Read - A new brighter interface for Noggin's EBooks collection courtesy of Simon and Schuster and Scholastic Publishing
* Learn - The "Watch" section now includes reccomendations for future learners and explorations. From there, you can also continue the episodes where you left off.
* Curriculum Boards - When you click on the shows available through the "Watch" page, you'll be directed to the NOGGIN/Nick Jr curriculum board under each series' title. For example if the series is "Hey Duggee" the curriculum board will read "enhances preschoolers to build PROBLEM SOLVING and RELATIONSHIP skills"

No More Muddy Puddles??? - Peppa Pig Creators QUIT After 17 Years

Welp it's official.

After 17 years of splashing around in mud, there is an unfortunate happening to Peppa Pig, the Hasbro, Nickelodeon USA and Channel 5 UK phenomena.

It's unfortunately been confirmed that Neville Astley and Mark Baker, the duo that created the Harley Bird and Amalea Bea Smith-voiced hog back in April 2004 and have been executive producers and showrunners of the property since the beginning are unfortunatel calling it quits and stepping down from the enthusiastic pig world according to a recent article by Deadline.

But far not, Peppa is not ending. The series will be continuing for at least another six ears up until at least the show's 23rd year in 2027 despite the series creators leaving.

Thank you Mark and Neville for making and putting together an imaginative world for today's kids and the young at heart. We will miss the two of you British chums dearly and we wish you nothing but the very best in your near futures.

NOGGIN March 2021

The frost snow is melting and the daylight savings time has begun. We're already into the first quarter of the year and we're pushing through it.

Here's what to expect on NOGGIN this March 2021.

NEW SERIES
Baby Shark's Big Show! (26 x 22-minute episodes and 5 x 3-minute shorts)
On the heels of a successful collaboration with then-7 year old Ryan ToysReviews in Ryan's Mystery Playdate (currently at 3 seasons and 60 x 22-minutes episodes) which has been given backlash and poor reviews for dumb reasons, it's only natural that more Nick Jr series based on YouTube properties are currently in the works.

Baby Shark's Big Show is the second of four YouTube-based preschool series for the Nickelodeon net, paving way for the recently launched CKN Toys series and an upcoming collab with The Tiny Chef Show. The new series originally launched back in December 2020 with a Christmas episode (the same launch format as Adventures of Paddington reboot from StudioCamal and Peter Rabbit reboot from BBC). The series has also been getting promoted as early as January of last year with shorts, bumpers and crossovers with other Nick properties throughout the year and even leading to a majority of them being launched to Noggin streaming channel. Five shorts for the series also launched last week to put promotion to the next level.

Now, the series is launching three weeks early on NOGGIN. Launching today, a new dedicated webpage for the series which includes all of the shorts and music videos featuring this property which launched on NOGGIN last winter.

The DOGS Are Back In Town - PAW Patrol Season 8 Premieres April 2nd

 "WHAT? There's MORE??? Will this never end? :(" - Stefan Karl Stefansson 2014

The wait is OVER. Nickelodeon USA will begin to premiere and show PAW Patrol Season 8 (26 x 22-minute episodes) on Friday April 2nd, 2021 at 12:30PM ET/PT, according to The Futon Critic.

In the season 8 premiere "Pups Save A Sweet Mayor/Pups Save Magic Tricks" (production code Season 8, Episode 2), the never-ending saga of nonsensical rescues from a team of dogs continues as they try to stop the evil Humdinger from eating too much sweet stuff and then try to undo a magic trick gone wrong.

And the dogs are ending there. Nick has recently greenlit the show for Season 9 which is assumed to launch in April 2022. There is also a theatrical film currently in its final stages of post-production set to bow down on August 20, 2021.

Dog Cuteness Overload! - Hey Duggee Season 2 Now Airing on NOGGIN

The five-time KIdscreen and six-time BAFTA winning Duggee and his squirrels are back for more crazy adventures, badges and hugs in the second season of the BBC's Hey Duggee now airing on NOGGIN in the USA.

In season 2 (52 x 7-minute episodes), Duggee, Betty, Happy, Norrie, Roly and Tag form an orchestra, learn to whistle, get cloned at Peggee's clubhouse, learn some yoga and self regulation skills, make pizza, ride a train, dance at a ball/party of bugs, collect things that make them feel good and compete in an obstacle course plus lots more.

WAKE UP JEFF!!!!!!! - The Wiggles Turn 30 Years Old, Release New Greatest Hits Album

 In the summer of 1991, three teachers of a Sydney, Australia university college and a rock star of the 80s plus a shortlived fifth member who was a classical music pianist crafted a preschool music band called The Wiggles and a legacy was born.

30 years later, the Aussie kids giant is still growing strong with over 30 million copies of merchandise sold, 10,000+ concerts and a record 11-times winning ARIA Best Kids Album Awards and two other honors, 10 multi-platimun album releases and broadcasted in over 100 countries and territories, the "fab four of fun" is still ready to wiggle for uture generations to come.

Making a greatest hits album is among one of the highlights of marking the 30 years milestone. This March, the band did just that. We're All Fruit Salad!: The Wiggles' Greatest Hits is the fifth greatest hits album from the '90s kids band.

Unlike the recent four greatest hits efforts Hot Potatoes! The Best of The Wiggles (2010 and 2013), Hit Songs & Rarities (2012) and The Best of The Wiggles: 25th Anniversary Edition (2016), this greatest hits collection is combined with up to 40 songs and incorporate all three eras of the band's vault.

Welp it's official. Nickelodeon has unfortunately lost another massive videogame from their mobile apps library. After eight splashtastic years, Nickelodeon has confirmed that the game would be shutting down in two and a half months. This means that SpongeBob fans worldwide will have one last chance to customize their own take of Bikini Bottom.

Like last year's termination of The Loud House: Ultimate Treehouse (closed May 2020), there is a FYI Notice screen that will be shown on the game screen before closure. The notice reads "We hope you enjoyed playing SpongeBob Moves In! We're so sorry to report that our town will be closing the app on May 31st, 2021. After that date, you will no longer be able to view your game data. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for playing with us over the last eight years and making a FANTASTIC Bikini Bottom and making thiThe Best GAME Ever!" followed by an "OK" button at the bottom of the page.

PAW Patrol LEAKED FOOTAGE??? - Nickelodeon To Air "The PAW Patrol Movie" Sneak Peek During Kids Choice Awards 2021 Next Week

 The KCAs 2021 hosted by Kenan Thompson are almost here and Nickelodeon is making some last minute preparations.

Since the Kids Choice Awards is simulcasting on Nick Jr channel now (despite the fact that Kids Choice IS NOT a preschool program and contains rude humor for age 7+ year olds), Nickelodeon will be debuting the first footage from the new PAW Patrol movie expected to bow into theaters on August 20th, 2021.

In the new The PAW Patrol Movie presented by Paramount Pictures, Spin Master Ent and Nickelodeon Movies in association with GURU Studios and Mikros Images, Ryder and his now-12-member team of 11 dogs and a cat being to expand the franchise of the never-ending Nickelodeon preschool phenomenon (expected to be at nine seasons by 2022) as they venture to Adventure City to stop Humdinger (Ron Pardo)'s evil plans of taking over the new city.

The new theatrical film (assumably 90 minutes long) will feature new worlds, new team members, new characters, more rescues that make no sense at all and of course will answer the question that has been on every PAW Patrol fan's minds since day one: "WHEN WILL EVIL HUMDINGER GET ARRESTED???"

The film stars the current voice cast of the TV series since January 2021, Matthew Mucci as Ryder, Justin Paul Kelley as Chase, Kingsley Marshall as Marshall, Keegan Headley as Rubble, Lilly Bartlam as Skye, Samuel Faraci as Rocky, Shayle Simons as Zuma and Kim Roberts as Mayor Goodway with Ron Pardo continuing his work on the show as the voice of Humdinger, Captain Turbot and Farmer Al respectively.

Among the star-studded voice cast of the new film include Kimmy Kardashian-West, Randall Park, Tyler Perry (creator of Nickelodeon's Tyler Perry's Young Dylan Gilmer), Dax Sheppard, William Brisbin, Yara Shahidi, Marsai Martin, Iain Armitage and the acclaimed late-night talk show host Jimmy Kimmel (known as host of Regis Philbin's Who Wants To Be A Millionaire? USA since April 2020)

Thew new film will also be airing on Paramount+, the recently-launched streaming SVOD channel from ViacomCBS which includes Nickelodeon, Paramount and CBS franchises from past and present all in one place

And to mark day one of the new streaming channel, the highly anticipated CGI SpongeBob projects The SpongeBob SquarePants Movie 3: A Sponge on the Run and Kamp Koral: SpongeBob's UnderYears (13 x 22-minute episodes) are premiering at launch!

To highly anticipate the launch, Nickelodeon and Paramount+ have revealed the official plot details and episode titles for the first 6 of 13 episodes.

S01E01 The Jellyfishing Kids
SpongeBob (who for some reason is aged younger in this spinoff) attempts to catch his very first jellyfish ever (reference to the episode 1B "Reef Blowers") and so his friends do whatever they can to help him out.

S01E02 The Sugar Queeze/TAG! You're It!
In the first story "Sugar Queeze", SpongeBob and his friends meet two new characters, two backwoods narwhal whales named Narlene and Nobby who treat them for a sweet surprise. Then in "TAG! You're It!", it's a rainy day outside, so SpongeBob and his friends decide to start entertaining themselves INDOOOOOOOORS by playing a turbolent game of tag, much to Squidward's annoyance.

S01E03 A Quest for Tires/The Cabins of Curiosities
In the first story "Quest for Tires", the weekly food delivery truck for the campsite strangely and mysteriously disappears and goes missing, so they decide to hunt it down just like primal ancestors. Then in "Cabins of Curiosities", a mysterious cabin full of odd campers have some frightful fun with SpongeBob and Patrick AT NIGHT.

S01E04 In The Search of Camp Noodist/The Kitchen Sponge
In the first story, SpongeBob, Patrick and Sandy hunt through the woods in search of a fabled noodist community. Then in "Kitchen Sponge", SpongeBob helps the evildewer Plankton out at the Krusty Kanteen (reference to season 2 episode "Welcome to the Chum Bucket") which leads to the development of the very familliar Krabby Patty sandwiches which are still in the SB episodes to this day.

S01E05 The Lost Treasure of Kamp Koral/Camper Gary
First up, SpongeBob and Patrick find buried treasure at the campsite, but the sponge hero's beloved Krusty Krab boss Mr. Eugene H. Krabs is desperate to get his claws on it, thinking that the treasure is moneymoneymoneymoneymoney. Then in "Camper Gary", SpongeBob decides to disguse his pet snail Gary as a new camper to keep himself safe from his dumb teacher Mrs. Puff who has STILL refused to give SpongeBob his drivers license! (GIVE IT TO HIM ALREADY!!!!)

S01E06 12AM Midnight Snack Attack/Pearl-TAY-TOE
In the first story, after SpongeBob and Patrick eat a mysterious snack experiment late at night, the evil Plankton must reverse the monstorous side effects that would cause our BFF duo to get the jumpscared of their lifes. Then in "PEARL TAY TOE", Mr. Krabs needs to find a babysitter for his little daughter Pearl Krabs the Whale but however, she proves to unfortunately be too much for the other campers to handle.

Kamp Koral is the first SpongeBob spinoff that will seem to do great, even though it has been given a bunch of stupid backlash for no reason.

The original voice cast including Tom Kenny, Bill Fagerbakke, Carolyn & Doug Lawrence, Rodger Bumpass, Clancy Brown, Jill Taley, Mary Jo Callett and Lori Allen and executive producers Marc Caccarelli and Vincent Waller returning for this new project. SpongeBob's late creator Stephen Hillenburg also had some involvement in the series, helping to develop a few of the eps. It has also been noted that if Hillenburg were still alive today, he would have loved the episodes, according to a post from Waller on Twitter.

Other BRAND NEW Nick projects coming to Paramount+ include reboots of iCarly (2007-2012) and Rugrats franchise (1991-2008), Star Trek: Prodigy, the newest series of the STAR TREK franchise and The PAW Patrol Movie which is expected to bow first into theaters on August 20th.

The Fish Invasion Has Begun - Baby Shark Swims Onto NOGGIN Ahead of March 26 Premiere

 Doot doot dodododoot...Baby Shark, Nickelodeon's upcoming property based on the YouTube record-breaking Korean children's song from Pinkfong and SmartStudy Co. is coming onto Nickelodeon in a few weeks. To get the promotion swimming right along, the series has launched its official webpage on NOGGIN SVOD.

NOGGIN's Baby Shark's Big Show webpage includes a majority of the short videos that were launched back in January of last year, as well as the five shorts that aired on Nickelodeon last week.

Like Blue's Clues & You! and Santiago of the Seas, this series launches a few weeks early on NOGGIN just to really get that promotion to the next level.
