GO CRAZY - Apple TV+ Unveils Trailer and A-List Celebrity Lineup for Yo Gabba Gabba! Reboot Series "YGGLand" Premiering August 9th

Hello OLD Friends! Apple TV+ has beamed down the official trailer for its upcoming Nick Jr. reboot series Yo Gabba Gabbaland! (Season 5, 20 episodes) for release on Friday, August 9th. The new series welcomes back millennials and introduces a new generation of kids to the wonderful and magical world of the NES 8-bit videogame-inspired landscape of Gabbaland, where new DJ host Kamryn Smith steps into the shoes of the legendary DJ Lance Robertson as she interacts with the iconic characters of Muno, Foofa, Brobee, Toodeee and Plex, with their original voice actors present and accounted for.

Among the celebrities slated to razzle dazzle young audiences with their over the top energy is a new batch of celebrities taking on the "Cool Tricks", "Dancey Dance" and Super Music Friends Show" segments, including the likes of FLEA (Avatar: The Final Airbender), Jamaican reggae artist Reggie Watts (The Electric Company 2009) and Disney Legend Paul Williams (The Muppets), the latter of whom is the only celebrity so far from the original series currently slated to get a second appearance. It's currently unknown who the new "Beat of the Day" segment beatboxer will be in the new batch of episodes due to Biz Markie passed away in 2021. Additionally, Leslie Hall and Mark Mothersbaugh are also likely to be brought back for a new generation of young fans.

The new series also introduces new locations to the Gabbaland universe including Muno the cyclops (voiced by former Aquabats prince and YGG songwriter Adam Deibert) getting his own house and the Gabbaland city's official beach location. It's currently unknown what the new episodes will be titled although the trailer predicts one of the first episodes is about doing silly things.

The iTunes-based streamer has also acquired the entire eight-year run of the original series that ran across the Nickelodeon networks Nick Jr. and Noggin from August 20, 2007-November 4, 2015, as well as the two Yo Gabba Gabba Live! concert films There's A Party in My City in November 2011 and the direct-to-video A Very Awesome Holiday Show! released in November 2014.
