"HEY CAN I DRIVE THE BUS?"
"IS THAT A HOT DOG?"
"AGGLE FLAGGLE PLAGGLE"
"PIGS MAKE ME SNEEZE"
If you recognize these catchphrases, then you've probably have read the Caldecott and New York Times best-selling children's books by chrildrens author and animator Mo Willems! And for most fans, 2018 is the 15th anniversary of these timeless tales, including Don't Let The PigeonDrive The Bus released on April 1, 2003, the one that started it all.
Most people over the years have asked Mo why his Pigeon character has appeared in every book he's published and you guys have probably heard the story 1000 times before (I know I have) the Pigeon is a stinker and he hates it when Mo does not make books about him and when Mo decides to not make a book about him and instead makes a book about one of his other characters, his Pigeon character sneaks into every single book that Mo has ever published (weird but true)
Since 2003, Mo Willems has wrote over FIFTY children's books including:
Pigeon
Knuffle Bunny
Elephant & Piggie
Leonardo the Terrible Monster
Edwina, the Dinosaur who Did Not Know She Was EXTINCT
Naked Mole Rat
Cat the Cat
Diva & Flea
Amanda & Her Alligators
Goldilocks and the 3 Dinosaurs
He has also made Weston Woods animations of the following books:
Don't Let The Pigeon Drive the Bus
The Pigeon Finds A Hot Dog
Don't Let The Pigeon Stay Up Late
The Duckling Gets A Cookie
Knuffle Bunny
Knuffle Bunny 2: A Case of Mistaken Identity
Knuffle Bunny 3: An Unexpected Diversion
Leonardo the Terrible Monster
Edwina, The Dinosaur Who Didn't Know She Was EXTINCT
Naked Mole Rat Gets Dressed
Hooray for Amanda and Her Alligators
Goldilocks and the 3 Dinosaurs
That Is NOT A Good Idea!
So a big thank you to Mo Willems, Pete List and their ENTIRE team who have given their times and efforts to make the best selling children's books we all still read and enjoy today.
