We are so sadden to hear about the death of our pal Stephen Hillenburg, the creator of the Nickelodeon SMASH HIT cartoon SpongeBob SquarePants. He died after a battle of ALS at the age of 57 years old. RIP StephenHillenburg 1961-2018 You have been a great contributor to our underwater sponge pal and you will be dearly missed by us all.
But there is still hope for SpongeBob fans, because the show will be still going on even after Hillenburg's death. The 12th season recently premiered on Nickelodeon two weeks ago (FarmerBob [12-01A]) and will premiere more new Season 12 episodes throughout 2019. Addutionally, The SpongeBob SquarePants Movie 3: It's A Wonderful Sponge will also hit the box office in 2020 on SpongeBob's anniversary, July 17th.
