Paramount and Nickelodeon Cause Confusion and Delay! Rugrats and Are You Afraid of the Dark Reboots Rescheduled

Paramount and Nickelodeon have announced they would be changing the release dates for its upcoming Rugrats and Are You Afraid of the Dark reboots!

The Are You Afraid of the Dark Movie and Miniseries have been removed from the October 4th 2019 timeslot and rescheduled to an unknown date.

The Rugrats reboot previously scheduled for a November 13th 2020 release will be postponed to January 29th of next year 2021 with the Clifford the Big Red Dog movie adaptation taking its spot.

MINNEAPOLIS, Feb. 27, 2019 -- Nickelodeon and VStar Entertainment Group, part of Cirque du Soleil Entertainment Group, today announced the U.S. debut of the live theatrical production Nick Jr. Live! "Move to the Music." The brand-new musical spectacular will feature, for the first time ever on one stage, characters from multiple hit Nickelodeon preschool animated series, including Bubble Guppies, PAW Patrol (produced by Spin Master Entertainment), Dora the Explorer, Shimmer and Shine, Blue's Clues & You! (premiering in November 2019), Blaze and the Monster Machines and Top Wing. Exclusive ticket pre-sale opportunities will be available to fan club subscribers beginning Wednesday, March 6, and tickets are available to the general public beginning Friday, March 15. Nick Jr. Live! "Move to the Music" marks the first of several productions to debut as part of an exclusive live theatrical touring partnership between Nickelodeon and VStar Entertainment Group. The partnership includes collaboration on several Nickelodeon intellectual properties to deliver new theatrical touring productions over the course of the exclusive 5-year deal. The relationship between the family entertainment brands kicked off in 2016 with the co-production of PAW Patrol Live! "Race to the Rescue," the first-ever live stage show based on Nickelodeon's top-rated preschool series, PAW Patrol (produced by Spin Master Entertainment). Since that time, the two have added PAW Patrol Live! "The Great Pirate Adventure" and Bubble Guppies Live! "Ready to Rock" to the growing list of production collaborations. In the short time since the debut of the original show, an impressive 3 million PAW Patrol Live! tickets have been sold worldwide.

It's official, the host of Kids Choice Awards 2019 has been revealed! After two years straight, WWE Superstar "AND HIS NAME IS" John Cena is retiring from hosting the ceremony. This year, the baton is passed to music superstar DJ Khaled, who has worked with other famous musicians; most notably collaborating with Justin Bieber on his song "I'm The One"

The reason the WWE superstar and Keep It Spotless host John Cena called it quits from hosting the ceremony is that he could focus more on his work on the Are You Smarter Than A 5th Grader reboot. Hardly seems fair.

This year's ceremony will be more EPIC and SLIMEier than ever.

DHX Media and WildBrain Acquire Miffy & Friends

DHX Media and WildBrain have signed a deal with Mercis Media BV to acquire the TV rights to the Miffy and Friends franchise, created by the late Dick Bruna. The deal will involve launches of new Miffy & Friends YouTube channels in France, Japan, Korea, Latin America and Portugal and relaunches of existing Miffy channels in Germany, Italy, Netherlands, Russia, UK and USA. The deal with include acquirements of over 200 Miffy videos and episodes across all platforms.

Sunny Day's Hair Salon Shuts Down as 2017 Smash Hit Sunny Day Comes To An End

After two seasons and 40 episodes, Sunny Day has wrapped up production.

To our Viacom and Nickelodeon fans, friends and family, there's no easy way to say this but after two and a half incredible years, Sunny Day will be unseating at the end of 2019. We'll keep people updated on the news about the sad cancellations and happy returns and launches of smash hits and new series over the next couple of years on the Daily NOGGIN Blogger page.

Thanks to you, Sunny Day has been more than an animated smash, it's been a merchandising phenomenon. Even when series come and go in years, the show at its hype had been watched by over 100 million viewers and sold over 200 million products including DVDs, toys, apparel and a road tour at Walmart stores across the USA.

It was fun learning how to make the most zaniest hair styles that you could ever imagine with this great team of characters but the time has come for the show to end.

Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for your endless support for Sunny Day. We have been so grateful to share this journey with you. We're excited to bring you even more great new content from your favorite Nick Jr. and NOGGIN characters and shows across all platforms.

Nickelodeon Germany To Shut Down Nick Jr Block After 14 Years

Viacom International Inc. has revealed the unfortunate news that Nickelodeon Germany will be shutting down its Nick Jr. block after 14 years of broadcast.

But don't worry your favorite preschool shows will still be available to German viewers on the Nick Jr Germany channel.

It's been a lot of fun. We want to thank all of our fans in Germany who have supported us. Nick Jr. on Nickelodeon Germany would have never been the same without you.
