DON'T TOUCH THAT AIRPLANE - Creator Marc Brown and PBS Kids Cancels Arthur After 46 Years

And I said Hey! HEY!!! What a wonderful kind of day!
If we could learn to work and play
and get along with each other

 In 1976, Marc Brown crafted the very first Arthur book "Arthur's Nose". In 1996, the PBS Kids TV series was launched to the world and a legacy was born

But now after 46 years, over 150 books and more than 400 storylines in over 250 episodes, the Arthur franchise is coming to an end.

PBS Kids is slated to axe the Arthur TV series, the longest running children's cartoon series of all time at 5pm on Monday, February 21st

In the final episode "Blabbermouth/All Grown Up", Arthur and DW talk total nonsense gibberish and then lead into one of the WORST IDEAS for a series finale ever made, seeing what happens when the characters you loved turn into ACTUAL adults.

Unfortunately, it's not just the TV show that's ending, but looks like the franchise as a whole as franchise series creator Marc Brown has recently written and published what is meant to be the LAST EVER Arthur book EVER "Believe In Yourself: What We Have Learned from Arthur" released last month.

Since 1996, Arthur has went into a WHOLE SLEW of internet memes. From punching his annoying sister DW to DW throwing spinach on the floor to Arthur's hatred of the Crazy Bus song, From Arthur bullying Sue Ellen by teasing her and making jokes about her yak sweater to Buster's short-lived Postcards spinoff. From guest star collaborations like Alex Trebek (Jeopardy), Larry King (LK Live) and Matt Damon to the meme-catchy songs of "Library Card" and "Jekyll & Hyde", From dealing with the 9/11 attacks of 2001 to Mr. Ratburn's controversial wedding episode, this series has made it all worth while every wonderful kind of day, especially the theme song from Ziggy Marley.

To mourn the passing and celebrate one of the greatest children's books franchises ever created, PBS and PBS Kids is ending the Arthur franchise with a BANG with a special six-days marathon of EVERY ARTHUR EPISODE EVER from the beginning of "Arthur's Eyes" on Wednesday, February 16th at 9:00AM ET/PT leading all the way right up to the final four episodes on Monday, February 21st beginning at 2:00PM ET?1c

The marathon will also include the hit Arthur films DW and the Beastly Birthday, Arthur's First Day and of course who could never forget the Backstreet Boys collaboration in Arthur! It's Only Rock & Roll?

A toast to Marc Brown, Ziggy Marley, Michael Yarmush, Michael Caloz and all of the Arthur team and collaborators past and present who have turned this savage but friendly aardvark into the global childhood phenomneon that it still is today.

Schools Axed As Disney's Muppet Babies Reboot Comes TO An End

It's time to play the music!
It's time to light the lights!
It's time to meet The Muppets on The Muppets Show TONIGHT!

 After four years, 72 episodes and a handful of shorts and bonus content, the 2018 Disney reboot of the award-winning Jim Henson's Muppet Babies is coming to an end.

Disney Channels is ending the series with a BANG with an episode dedicated to the late Jim Henson and the original live-action Muppet Show that began the franchise's popularity back in 1976 to 1981.

In the series finale "It's The Muppey Babies Show!", Kermit, Miss Piggy, Fozzie Bear, Gonzo, Rowlf, Animal, Summer Penguin and all their friends put together a new CGI modern day recreation of the classic Muppets live-action variety show as a way to celebrate their accomplishment of the school year before the nursery gets closed down for their summer vacation.

But Disney isn't sinking the quality yet as they have tons more in their gloves for at least another two years.

Hats off congratulations to Tom Warburton and the whole team who put this show together. You will be dearly missed.

 Nickelodeon just announced its first skate of new content for the 2022-23 television season

The Blue's Clues & You Movie: Blue's Big City Adventure premiering this summer, the third feature film of the award-winning Blues Clues franchise which recently gonged its 25th anniversar sees Josh Dela Cruz and Blue (Traci Paige Johnson) auditioning for a famous New York musical under the bright lights of Broadway. The film is also more like a family reunion of sorts as original presenters of the show Steven Burns and Donovan Patton aka Joe will also be on screen to join in the fun.

Dora the Explorer reboots - the wait is finally over. Nickelodeon's 22-year-old Latina heroine of the millennium is back. Two reboots of the award winning franchise are greenlit. One in true animation form for the preschoolers and one in hillariously bad live-action form off the heels of the successful 2019 flick Dora the Explorer and the Lost City of Gold. Both reboots are expected to premiere in 2023.

Mattel's We Are Monster High movie - Nickelodeon joins forces with Mattel one of the biggest toy companies in the world to produce the all-new Monster High TV series and movie. The movie based on the toys drops in June 2022.

PAW Patrol 2: The Mighty Pups Movie - You asked for it and we delivered. Cal Brunker and Marsai Martin are back for the all-new PAW Patrol franchise' theatrical movie sequel. The new movie drops on Friday the 13th October 13th, 2023. Expect Humdinger to get jumpscared since this film will be released around Halloween

SpongeBob SquarePants spin-offs and movies - If you're anything like us, Stephen Hillenburg's SpongeBob rules DOESN'T EXIST! WHOOOOOOOO!!! Nickelodeon has just confirmed the pickup of three new spinoff films of the animated underwater world of Bikini Bottom bringing a total to 6 movies in the SpongeBob Universe. The first of these The SpongeBob SquarePants Movie 4: Sandy Cheeks Saving Bikini Bottom is expected to roll out in 2023.

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: The Next Chapter - ViacomCBS/Paramount Global has pushed forward the release of the new CGI TMNT movie which will now debut on Friday August 4th, 2023.

SpongeBob Gets FIRED?! - ViacomCBS to Rebrand To Paramount Global Tomorrow

Nickelodeon has just confirmed that the company behind it ViacomCBS will change its name to Paramount Global from tomorrow morning

Company founder Shari Redstone and president/CEO boss Robert "Bob" Bakish jointly announced this earlier today that because of the 110th anniversary of the Paramount Pictures movie company that's been around since 1912, the company will be fully dropping the Viacom name after 70 years (potentially) and replace it with the name of Paramount Global.

This isn't the first time the movie company chain has also become the name of the company behind your favorite Nick and CBS shows as the company has recently been called the same as Paramount Communications back in 1989.

Don't worry, all the best of Nickelodeon, Nick Jr, Noggin, Pluto TV, Paramount+, CBS and Showtime will still be around despite the company name change.

 On this day, 23 YEARS AGO, the likes of Nickelodeon and Sesame Workshop (Sesame Street, Esme & Roy, The Not Too Late Show with Elmo, Pinky Dinky Doo, The Electric Company, 3 2 1 Contact, Square one TV, Dragon Tales, Tiny Planets, Sagwa the Chinese Siamese Cat, The Furchester Hotel, Sesame Tree, Play with Me Sesame, The Helpsters, Sponk!, The Upside Down Show) came together to alunch the second Nickelodeon preschool channel NOGGIN.

Since Groundhogs Day 1999, NOGGIN is not made just for kids, it's made BY kids as every day Nickelodeon's cable channel would broadcast the creations young artists would make on their website and app and put it on the TV live.

THe name still exists today as a SVOD app and channel and a recent cable comeback as a Friday block on Nick Jr. channel.

Top of the Pops - Everyone's Talking About Bruno as Disney's Encato Tops Billboard Hot 100 Charts

 Off the heels of last year's successful Disney movie musical Encanto, Disney has made a surprising entry into thne pop music market.

For The First Time in Forever, Disney has topped the Billboard Hot 100

The Encanto song "We DON'T Talk About Bruno!" becomes the first Disney song to go to number #1 on the Billboard charts in 30 years.

The last time this happened was back in 1992 when Disney's Oscar-winning '90s classic Aladdin starring the late Robin Williams and the final music score by late Disney composer Alan Menkin (Oliver & Company will Billy Joel, The Little Mermaid, Beauty and the Beast) hit the top of the charts with its Oscar(R)-winning ballad "A Whole New World" top the Billboard
