YOU'RE FIRED!!!! - Paramount+ Shows Killed Ahead of Showtime Shutdown & Merger

Ha ha ha! Stupid Paramount! That's what they get for making a terrible Grease ripoff!

Paramount+ Today have announced that Nickelodeon series Star Trek: The Prodigy Generation and Paramount Television series Queens of the Universe, The Game and their terrible Grease John Travolta and Olivia Newton-John ripoff Grease: Rise of the Pink Ladies have all been axed off the network and will be removed from the platform when Showtime shuts down and merges with Paramount+ on Tuesday June 27th. There are no plans to renew these programs and the Winter holidays premiere of the promised second season of STP is no longer happening.

The four removals is unfortunately one of the latest in these terrible streaming service mistakes where other platforms like Max, Netflix, Hulu and Disney+ illegally remove programs and movies that their own companies own the rights to never to be seen in the light of day again and meaning it's back to the old drawing board of linear cable television winning over streaming for you.

Also set for temporary removal on the cutting room floor is the remaining two seasons of the Nickelodeon and SONY Music sitcom Big Time Rush and last year's successful Nickelodeon & Paramount+ movies Fantasy Football and Snow Day 2.0 the latter being a Christmas remake of the original February 2000 movie which were released in November and December 2022 respectively. Additionally, All In with Cam Newton, Allegra's Window, Becca's Bunch, Bella and the Bulldogs, Crashletes, Digby Dragon, The Fresh Beat Band, The HALO Effect, Legendary Dudas, DreamWorks Animation SKG's Monsters VS Aliens, Sid & Marty Kroft's Mutt & Stuff, Nicky, Ricky, Dicky & Dawn, Peter Rabbit, Pig Goat Banana Crickets, Ride and The Troop have all been temporarilly shut down from the network.

Noggin SVOD has also fallen victim to this over the years. Earlier this year the preschool app channel lost the rights to Frankie & Frank on February 6th and Hey Duggee on May 29th respectively. Frankie & Frank has already been made available on Paramount+ while Hey Duggee has yet to be migrated.

It's currently unknown if any of the Paramount Global, Viacom18 or Paramount+ team will get fired and lose their jobs like the other streaming service purges but it's pretty unlikely.

Star Trek: Prodigy is the second Nickelodeon exclusive to be illegally removed from their own streaming service. Earlier in February, The Fairly OddParents: Fairly Odder live-action reboot of the worst Nickelodeon cartoon ever made unfortunately got the chop, althought a second season is still in the potential of happening as that show won the Best Kids Live-Action TV Show category at the 2023 Nickelodeon Kids Choice Awards hosted by Nate Burleson and Charli D'Amelio.
