It's every kid's dream and every GoAnimate grounded video's nightmare, After nine years of nothing and after a teenager and live-action imposter, Nick Jr's second longest-running preschool television cash cow Dora the Explorer is finally back with an all-new batch of episodes for a whole new generation of fans, airing on Paramount+ and Nickelodeon networks across the globe in 2024.
But to tide youngsters over until then, as the PAW Patrol movie sequel drops next week, Paramount, Viacom18 and Nickelodeon are giving Dora the true theatrical debut she actually deserves. In the new short film Dora the Explorer and the Fantastical Creatures dropping on Friday, September 29th, Dora and Boots take on their first theatrical Spanish curriculum adventure where Swiper the Fox from his Blueberry Hill home goes missing and it's up to Dora and her Spanish friends to help him get home.
With the release of the new short, the voice cast for the upcoming series slated for next spring is FINALLY revealed. The voice cast for the new series includes and Nick Jr. legends Marc Weiner and series creator Chris Gillford giving it their all reprising their roles as Swiper the Fox and the Big Red Chicken respectively.
To further celebrate Dora's return to Mexican civilization, Nickelodeon has shut down the Bubble Guppies channel and rebranded it as the new Dora & Friends Official Channel. The trailer unfortunately does not include any clips from the new reboot and instead contains footage from a new YouTube exclusive series available oexclusively on Dora's YouTube channel.
