Forget big wheels, whammies and zonks, this is game shows for kids done right. Nickelodeon and Republic Records have today announced the launch of its newest Nick Jr. audio podcast crossover series, Nick Jr.'s Wheel of Games (Season 1, 20 episodes) which premiered today (Thursday, November 21st) at 8:00pm (ET/PT)/7:00c, under Nickelodeon's "Songs & Games" Spotify feed.
In this all new interactive game show podcast, Nickelodeon's most iconic preschool characters franchises Blue's Clues, Dora the Explorer, Peppa Pig, Bubble Guppies, PAW Patrol, Blaze and the Monster Machines, Shimmer & Shine, Baby Shark's Big Show!, The Tiny Chef Show, Bossy Bear and its most recent releases Yo Gabba Gabbaland! and WOnder Pets! in the City invite preschoolers and their families to take part in a series of all new wacky and wild bootlegged game shows made just for YOU! In each of the 17-25 minute episodes with a format set to a classic daytime game show from 1950-1994, young viewers will go head to head against their favorite Nick Jr./Noggin stars in a series of games like "Who's Behind Blue's Door?", "Name That NickTUNE" and the "Lightning Round: Nick Jr. Trivia" endgame. Unfortunately, you don't win any cash or prizes because this game show is all imaginary and fake, but it at least gives your young podcast listeners something to do with their favorite Nick friends.
Nick Jr. Wheel of Games is the seventh podcast series entry in Nick Jr and Noggin's podcast catalog. Other podcasts in the collection include Blue's Clues & You's Storytime with Josh & Blue (2 seasons, 24 episodes) and Let's Guess Who with Josh & Blue (1 season, 10 episodes), Noggin's animated podcast and radio station morning program Meet The Alphabeats starring The Pop Ups (1 season, 11 episodes), Dora the Explorer cooking show Dora's Recipes for Adventures (1 season, 10 episodes), audiobook series Nick Jr. Goodnight Bedtime Stories hosted by PBS veteran LeVar Burton (1 season, 20 episodes) and the recent entry in the series Dora the Explorer: Dora's Aventuras (1 season, 15 episodes) which debuted on Nickelodeon's YouTube channel and digital music platforms earlier this year in September 2024.
The new podcast, produced in association with the game show gods of FremantleMedia International and Mark Goodson TV/Bill Todmin Entertainment Productions can be found on iTunes, Google Play, Amazon, Pandora, Spotify and Shazam under Nickelodeon's "Games & Songs" Feed. The trailer in animated video form is also available to watch on Nick Jr. and NickRewind's website and YouTube channels.
