WE DID IT!!! - Nickelodeon Announces Plans for Dora the Explorer 25th Anniversary Silver Jubilee This Summer

In August 2000, Nickelodeon launched its second cash cow never-ending preschool series Dora the Explorer that was loved by many kids and hated by many parents andYouTube content creators, and a children's television legacy was born. Created by Chris Gillford, Valerie Walsh-Valdes and Eric Weiner, this iconic show continues to bring smiles on today's generation of kids.

Now Paramount and Nickelodeon are providing some muy grande plans to celebrate the 25th anniversary of one of the greatest children's TV cartoons of our generation with the launch of the new marketing campaign The Great Dora the Explorer Fiesta! which celebrates 25 years and counting of America's favorite Latina cheroine of children's television.

The silver hubilee kicks off on Wednesday, July 2nd with the premiere of the second season of the hit 2024 Paramount+ reboot ¡Dora!: Say Hola to Adventure (Season 10, 26 episodes x 52 11-minutes)) and the cable and streaming silver screen film release of the second Dora the Explorer live-action ripoff movie Dora and the Search for Sol Derado which premieres on Nickelodeon cable simulcast the same day

The new batch of episodes will see Dora's cousin, primo Diego finally get his CGI launch in the new batch of episodes with the first ever Dora reboot hour-long movie Dora & Diego's Rainforest Rescues which chronicles the backstory of how Dora and Diego first met and how Dora's cousin would later go on to front his own series Go Diego Go! which ran from 2005-2011. The new season will also include new celebratory birthday episodes to celebrate Dora's silver anniversary which will premiere on Nickelodeon and Nick Jr. channels on the week of the franchise's birthday of Thursday, August 14th at 11am.

But wait, there's more! The year-long Dora 25 party will also include new soundtrack albums, singles and EPs available on CD and digital download across all streaming music platforms, a major makeover for Noggin/Nick Jr.'s award-winning Beyond the Backpack back to school campaign and the Paramount+ debut of the remaining three hour-long specials from the original series "Dance to the Rescue", "World Adventure" and "Dora's Big Birthday Adventure"

The Dora 25 party is part of Nickelodeon's 2025-2026 content slate which also includes new SpongeBob SquarePants hour-long special "SpongeBob and Patrick's Timeline Twistup/A Fish Named Sandy", five new PAW Patrol hour-long specials and a third theatrical movie, the new era of Peppa Pig where Peppa gives bireth to a third child. the series finale of Blaze and the Monster Machines and new series Wylde Pak, Super Duper Bunny League, Tim rex in Space and HexVet, along with new episodes of hit series including Rubble & Crew, Rock Paper Scissors and Max and the Midknights.
