Nickelodeon and White House Government Declares July 14 International SpongeBob Day

Nickelodeon has announced the launch of SpongeBob Day, a new annual Nickelodeon programming tentpole that celebrates the rise and success of America's lonngest-running TV-Y7 animated kids TV series and franchise of all time, the one and only SpongeBob SquarePants. The new initative will celebrate all the best of Nickelodeon's most iconic never-ending cartoon of all time.

Since its launch on May 1, 1999 as a leadout of that year's Kids Choice Awards 1999 awards ceremony, the loveable sponge and his beloved ensomble of characters, Patrick Star, Squidward Tentacles torture porn, Sandy Cheeks the karahtay squirrel, Mr. Eugene H. Krabs, Plankton, Karen, Gary the Snail, Fred the MY LEG Fish, Tom the Screaming Chocolate Guy, Perch Perkins, Realistic Fishhead, King Neptune, Mindy, Triton, Potty the Parrot, Mermaid Man and Barnacle Boy, Pearl Krabs the hale, The Flying Dutchman, Mrs. Puff, Larry Lobster, Patchy the Pirate and the French Narrator have captured the hearts of millions upon billions of fans with the most incredible stories of nautical nonsense with iconic episodes, funny catchphrases, viral memes and countless merchandise that continue to sell krabby patties by the bucketloads and continues to celebrate the vision of the brand's late creator Stephen Hillenburg, a marine biologist who got his first Nickelodeon big break prior to that working on Rocko's Modern Life in 1993.

Now with the main show in its unprecidented 16th season of 26 half-hour episodes and a fourth season of The Patrick Star Show spinoff series on the way, the series will continue to gon forever and immortal for all of eternity as the Mickey Mouse answer on Nickelodeon. Despite Hillenburg's original intention to have SpongeBob be dead and bankrupt after the 2004 movie, Nick immediately forbidden it as they knew they had a new cash cow franchise on their hands. And in the years since, it has continued to bypass its November 2004 cancellation attempts and continues to make new content forever and will never be killed off the air no matter how hard you try. SpongeBob will never be cancelled for many generations to come and resiiistance is futal.

To celebrate this new overrelliance strategy, Nickelodeon will kick off the new SpongeBob Day holiday campaign with a boatload of new content. SpongeBob frontman Tom Kenny will kick off the festivities with a special TikTok Live TV simulcast in which will include sneak peeks at upcoming episodes, more rejected endings of the classic episode "Shanghaied/Gary Takes a Bath" that didn't win the "You Wish!" marketing campaign in March 2001, franchise partnership announcements and unveils of new SpongeBob toys and merchandise reveals.

The event will also include SpongeBob memes collaborating with other memes, 24/7 marathons of SpongeBob's greatest hits on the Nicktoons channel during its annual NickSpongeBob sumer vacation pop-up channel service, partnerships with SBSP fan games on Roblox and SpongeBob's famous fictional locations like Goofy Goobers and Barg N Mart becoming real existing stores as part of the new Universal Studios kids-only theme park in Sandy-addicted Texas.

Additionally, SpongeBob's best dumb sidekick Patrick Star and his voice actor Bill Fagerbakke will also be given the spotlight on the datee with the launch of a new separate YouTube channel and soundtrack album called Patrick Star, SuperStar which features Patrick's best songs and episodes from the entire run of the show's history with over 27 years of the Best Days Ever.

The new SpongeBob Day initative is part of Nickelodeon's strategy since the death of its worst series ever The Fairly OddParents! in 2017 where it focuses on only franchises and its original ideas TV series being sent to the sister channels Nicktoons and Nick Jr. to die.

Come join us for the ultimate SpongeBob tribute this summer. We hope to see you there!
