We are so saddened to report the death of legendary Disney announcer and narrator Mark Elliott who passed away last weekend at the age of 82 years old at a Los Angeles hospital in California due to 2 heart attacks, according to the Hollywood Reporter.
Elliott and Brian Cummings were known as the famed pair for Disney's trailer announcer dialog since the early '90s and were also notable for being used at the company's theme parks on numerous occassions.
Aside from the Disney collection, Elliott and Cummings were also responsible for the trailers of Barney's Great Adventure (1998), Jonah: A VeggieTales Movie (2002) and Sesame Street: Elmo's Christmas Countdown (2008) as well as the Columbia Tristar/Sony Pictures releases of Bear in the Big Blue House and The Wubbulous World of Dr. Seuss which premiered in 1996 and 1997 respectively.
Elliott is also known famous for narrating the trailers found on Disney Interactive's CD-ROMs including Zoog Disney Genius which trailer was recently discovered by YouTube channel BarbarianBros which also revealed a rare trailer for Monopoly, courtesy of the British chums at Virgin Interactive (AKA Virgin Sound & Vision)
Mickey and Minnie have unfortunately lost another founding face of the mouse house.
