NOGGIN Acquires Rights To CBeebies' JoJo & GranGran, To Upload On June 14th

NOGGIN, Nickelodeon's hit SVOD app/channel for preschoolers has recently acquired the rights to one of the newest preschool properties from the British ponds of CBeebies and BBC (British Broadcassting Corporation), JoJo & GranGran which follows the adventures of JoJo and her grandma through their everyday lifes.

Nickelodeon's NOGGIN and Nick Jr have acquired the rights to the first two seasons of the series (22 half-hours x 44 11-minute stories) and is slated to premiere the first batch on the platform on Monday June 14th, with the second batch rolling out later in the fall.

The first episode of the series "It's Time to Build A Sandcastle!" in which JoJo and her grandma make the BIGGEST sandcastle EVER for JoJo's favorite toy, Panda, who has been forced to play inside for the day for some reason, will also get a cable TV premiere on Friday June 11th at 7:30AM ET/PT on the Nick Jr. channel as part of its newly launched NOGGIN on Nick Jr. block which runs every Friday morning from 7AM-8AM ET/PT. The block also contains NOGGIN Knows (5 x 22-minutes) and Kinderwood (10 half-hours x 30 8-minute stories) as well as select short-form videos and songs from the app's catalog.

Nickelodeon, Nick Jr and NOGGIN is no stranger to acquiring programs from the Beeb. Since the app revival of the NOGGIN channel first launched in March 4, 2015, the app has also uploaded Teletubbies, Twirlywoos, Peter Rabbit and Hey Duggee. The original NOGGIN channel from 1999-2009 has acquired rights to BBC classics Ghostwriter, Big Kids, Tweenies and 64 Zoo Lane while the Nick Jr. block and channel has since acquired rights to Bob the Builder, Rubbadubbers, LazyTown and Mike the Knight.

BBC's JoJo & GranGran is the latest series to join NOGGIN's content slate which has recently included a new "Made by NOGGIN" brand of original ong and short-form programs which includes Word Play, Feeling Faces, Imagination Trips, Yoga Friends, Take A Closer Look, Science Saves the Day, Ready, Set, Race!, Emotibot/Show Me Bot, Kinderwood, School of YUM, NOGGIN Knows, The NOGGINs At Work, Rhymes Through Times and Big Hearts Awesome Show!. Additional Nick Jr library titles on the platform include the recently added Baby Shark's Big Show!, Butterbean's Cafe and The Adventures of Paddington Bear 2019, plus Blue's Clues, Blue's Clues & You!, Dora the Explorer, Go Diego Go!, Canticos, PAW Patrol, The Backyardigans, Little Bear, Max & Ruby, Mutt & Stuff, Bubble Guppies, Shimmer & Shine, Blaze and the Monster Machines, Team Umizoomi, Peter Rabbit, Peppa Pig, Tot Cop, Wallykazam!, The Fresh Beat Band, Wonder Pets! and Moose & Zee. Additional acquisitions on the app/channel include Bob Books, Channel 5 Milkshake!'s Digby Dragon, Frankie & Frank and Zack & Quack.

Former titles available on the NOGGIN platform include CITV's Miffy & Friends and Pocoyo, Nick Jr. Australia series Play Along with Sam, Pocoyo spinoff Pocoyo Planet/World which has since been migrated to Pocoyo's official YouTube channel, NOGGIN powerhouse Jack's Big Music Show, Nick Jr. veteran Miss Spider's Sunny Patch Friends, Top Wing and Yo Gabba Gabba!, Sony Pictures Television's Japanese hit Mofy, Tickety Toc, Jon Scieszka's Trucktown and Disney Channel's Italian kitchen Trulli Tales, plus Nick Jr. classics Allegra's Window, Becca's Bunch, Blue's Room, Gullah Gullah Island, Oobi, Oswald, Robot & Monster and The Upside Down Show which have all been migrated over to CBS All Access and the recently launched Paramount+.
