More Series Dying This Year?! - Disney Junior Cancels Puppy Dogs Pals and The Chickens Squad; Greenlights Pupsstruction for Season 2 Ahead of Spring 2023 Premiere

Unfortunately this year, Disney's preschool platforms are at an all-time low.

Disney Jr has cancelled Puppy Dogs Pals and The Chickens Squad after 5 and 1 seasons respectively.

As for one of its 10  upcoming original programs Pupstruction premiering next year, the Mouse House has already greenlit a second season ahead of its Spring 2023 launch date on both Disney Jr cable and the Disney Plus SVOD app channel. This gives creators a new strategy as this show is the latest project in a content deal with Disney actor Harland Williams.

It is currently unknown when the series finale of PDP will air, though we can assume that it will air sometime around August or September of this year.

Pupsstruction is one of 10 all new series for Disney's 2022-2024 content slate of preschool programs, which also includes Eureka! (premiering in eight days) and FireBuds set to release months later this fall, Tiny Trailblazers, Hey AJ., The Kindergarten Musical, RoboGobo, SuperKitties and the recently greenlit STAR WARS: The Young Jedi's Adventures and Morphie set to release in May 2023 and Spring 2024 respectively.

Additional projects for the pipeline include Me & Mickey vlog shorts, a new Winnie the Pooh miniseries, a swashbuckling new Mickey Mouse Funhouse: Pirate Adventure summmer tentpole guest starring Disney-ABC's Full House superstar John Stamos and new seasons of Alice in Wonderland's Bakery and MARVEL's Spider-Man and his Amazing Friends, which Stamos will voice the role of IRON MAN, a Marvel role made famous by MCU veteran Robert Downey Jr.
