The Cartoon Network Purge IS OVER!!! - Warner Bros. Discovery To Launched Merged MAX SVOD Channel on Tuesday May 23rd

Since August 2022, Warner Bros. Discovery and its leader David Zaslav have unfortunately been in a dumpster fire over the last nine months, cancelling projects expected to release in the future, removing existing properties from their own HBO Max streamer and having some of their upcoming projects being tax writeoffs and being moved to other networks, as well as losing the rights to half of their Looney Tunes and Flinstones rosters. For Netflix and WBD, this purge NEEDS TO STOP. Cancelling projects before completeing their production and deleting shows from your own channel is illegal.

Zaslav confirmed in January that he has enough of the stupid purge cancelation nonsense and declared that HBO Max and Discovery+ be merged into one network to stop the stupid purge and save the course of Cartoon Network, Boomerang, Cartoonito, Adult Swim and Warner Bros. Animation once and for all. However, the merged service name hasn't been revealed yet until now.

Zaslav revealed at a press conference on Wednesday April 12th that the new streaming service merging the two channels together will be simply titled MAX taking a page from other one-word streaming services of the time like Netflix and Hulu and revealed that the channel will launch on Tuesday, May 23rd, 2023. All Discovery+ and HBO Max existing plans will be merged under the new interface.

Unlike its two predecessors, MAX will have a more light blue colored interface instead of the purples of HBO Max or the grey scale of Discovery+ that have been used since the two networks' launched on Wednesday May 27th, 2020 and Monday January 4th, 2021 respectively. The streamer goes under the new channel. slogan of "MAX: The one to watch!" and will be home to over 50 new titles.

According to Zaslav, because of the stremer originally having HBO solely in the title, unfortunately this meant that preschool and kids shows and cartoons audiences aged 2-11 years old have been excluded from the platform for no reason. With this new merged network, Zaslav and his team of WB experts over the last 100 years will be ensured that the new channel will have all ages welcome here.

With the launch of the newly merged MAX service, this means that everything will go back to normal. All the scrapped projects like Batgirl, SCOOB! 2: Holiday Haunts, DriftwoodLittle Ellen DeGeneres Season 3, Charlotte's Web miniseries and the Scooby-Doo! ripoff of Nickelodeon's Blue's Clues, Scooby-Doo! and the Mystery Pups will get uncancelled and finish production, tax writeoffs like the upcoming The Amazing World of Gumball reboot movie and Bye Bye Bunny: A Looney Tunes Musical will go back to being continued ACTUALLY as an Warner Bros. Discovery program and removed shows such as Messy Goes to Okido, Mia's Magic Playground, The Ollie & Moon Show, OdoEsme & Roy, The Not Too Late Show with Elmo and over 200+ episodes of Sesame Street from the show's first 38 years on the air will be available to stream on the platform again.

With the launch of the new MAX service, Zaslav vows to NEVER cancell, purge remove, or tax writeoff any of their Warner Bros. Discovery properties ever again and hoping that this new streaming service network will bring families back together and get his company back on their feet.
