Stephen Hillenburg's Rules Doesn't Exist Anymore! - Tom Kenny and Bill Fagerbakke to Host 2024 Nickelodeon Kids' Choice Awards Ceremony, Saturday July 13th at 7:00PM ET/PT on Nickelodeon and Paramount+

They say SpongeBob can't get his driver's license, the Krabby Patty Secret Formula shouldn't be revealed, Krabby Patties shouldn't exist in real life, SpongeBob can't have any spinoffs and the franchise can't do any crossovers with other cartoon series. Bit Stephen Hillenburg has died back in November 2018, so that means those rules and guidelines can't exist anymore.

Nickelodeon is kicking off the 25th annivesary of SpongeBob SquarePants, one of the greatest children's television cash cow franchise success stories of all time, by having their mascot's voice actors Tom Kenny and Bill Fagerbakke host the 2024 37th annual incarnation of the channel's annual slime-filled celebration, the annual Nickelodeon Kids' Choice Awards 2024, which will broadcast live from the PAvely Pavillion in Santa Barbara, CA on Saturday, July 13th from 7:00-9:00PM ET/PT across Nickelodeon, Nick Jr., Noggin, The N, Nicktoons, TeenNick, NickRewind, Nick@Nite TV Land, NickMom, NickGAS, NickMusic, BET, CBS, CMT, Comedy Central, MTV, Smithsonian Network, VH1, Pluto TV and Paramount+ across both the linear and streaming service oceans.

This year's ceremony also kills two birds with one stone as 2024 also marks the 45th anniversary of the Nickelodeon channel as a whole. Some of the channel's most-loved characters and franchises past and present, including illegal tax writeoffs will be represented in this special once in a slimetime celebration remembering some of the best children's media content posted all year long.. SPOILER ALERT: SpongeBob SquarePants wins the Best Animated Cartoon Series category YET AGAIN.

Tom Kenny, age 62 is no stranger to the annual KCA festivities as he has always snuck in someway or another as the ceremony's announcer, beginning in 2006 when that year's awards was hosted by none other than Jack Black (Kung Fu Panda, Gulliver's Travels, Super Mario Bros.). The presenter and musical performances lineup and this year's nominations will be announced shortly.

The 2024 Kids Choice Awards is one of the few things Nickelodeon has planned for the summer, alongside the second season of Transformers EarthSpark premiering June 7th, new The Loud House movie No Time to Spy and new series Tales of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, HexVet and Magic Pets and Super Duper Hero Bunny League, premiering in June, July and August respectively.

The 2024 Kids Choice Awards also kicks off SpongeBob's 25th anniversary with the Silver Junilee, which also includes new sequel episodes to the original five-year golden era classics such as "Idiot Box", "Plankton's Army", "SB-129" and "The Great Snail Race", the second season of Paramount+ hit series Kamp Koral: SpongeBob's UnderYears premiering July 17th, the fourth SpongeBob movie Sandy Cheeks Saving Bikini Bottom premiering August 2nd on Netflix, and the anniversary celebration ends with the fifth SpongeBob film The SpongeBob Movie 5: Search for SquarePants, which premieres in theaters over the Christmas holiday rush season on Friday December 19th, 2025.

A huge shout of gratitude for Tom Kenny, Bill Fagerbakke, Rodger Bumpass, Carolyn Lawrence, Clancy Brown, Doug Lawrence, Jill Talley, Lori Allen, Mary Jo Callott, Stephen Hillenburg, Derek Dryman, Tim Hill, Paul Tibbitt, Dan Povenmire, Ernest Borgoine, TIm Conway, John O'Hurley, Jeffrey Tambor, Vincent Waller, Dee Bradley Baker and all of the incredible SpongeBob team past and present who have turned this underwater kingdom of nautical nonsense and blasted barnacle heads into the never-ending saga of incredible chart-topping success on children's television that still is going strong today.

To the entire SpongeBob team, you have made millions of kids happy making THE BEST SHOW EVER!!!!

Dedicated to the memory of
Thank You, Stephen Hillenburg
