On This Date - Mickey Mouse Was Created & A Company Success Was Born

 Today marks the birthday of the popular Mickey Mouse cartoon character and the true start of success for The Walt Disney Company.

It was 92 years ago today that Walt Disney and Ub Iwerks first crafted the Mickey Mouse franchise and gave Disney the true global popularity he deserved.

The recently launched sixth season of the 2013 Mickey Mouse cartoon shorts The Wonderful World of Mickey Mouse is now streaming on Disney Plus.

And on the heels of two preschool series successes, Disney is currently in the works of a third preschool series for the iconic brand entitled Mickey Mouse Funhouse which is slated to debut on Disney Channel, Playhouse Disney Channel and Disney Junior next Spring 2021.
