For the first time in 16 years, the Jeopardy! game show's biggest and record-breaking champion Ken Jennings is back into the podiums. This time, he's actually hosting the beloved game show program.
The production team of the series confirmed 11/23 that Ken would be the first of intern hosts to take over and fill the void that was the loss of Alex Trebek who has hosted the iconic answer and question programs since 1984.
Jennongs os no stranger to Jeopardy, haven originally won a record-breaking 74 episodes between 2004 to 2005 winning over $2,700,000 dollars. In the months leading up to Trebek's passing between September-early November, he also assisted to read the categories at the top of the '84 version's 37th consecutive year.
Trebek's final bow which was recently scheduled to air on Christmas Day December 25, 2020 on ABC at 9:30PM has been replaced with two weeks of encores/reruns of episodes filmed on location in various countries, dubbed "Around The World with Alex Trebek" and his Final Jeopardy will now air on Friday January 8, 2021. Jennings' tenture of hosting the show will begin the Monday after on January 11th.
