HOT DOG! - Disney Announces 2023-2025 Preschool Content Slate

The second annual Disney Junior Fan Fest is in full swing at Disneyland Resort in Anaheim, CA during the five-year-long Disney's 100th Anniversary CenTOONial celebration. To celebrate the release of the new Disney Junior interstitial series Playdate with Winnie the Pooh where the Hundred Acre Woods residents get transformed into Nickelodeon's Rugrats ripoff imposters, Disney held this year's DJFF as the Disney Junior & Friends Playdate Weekend event running this weekend August 18-20th.

To kick off the event, Anna Davis and Nancy Kanter have announced huge plans for the company's two preschool networks Playhouse Disney and Disney Junior with more new content to be released in the next two years from September 2023 up until at least May 2025. The new series features the voice talents of That's So Raven's House' Mykal Michelle-Harris, Broadway legendary RENT star Taye Diggs who will spend the next 525,600 minutes under the sea and diva from one of the worst comedies created of all time, GlEE Amber Riley. COMING IN 2025
Mickey Mouse Clubhouse 2.0
- And finally to save the best for last, Disney has announced the highly much-awaited return of the series that gave the company's Toontown mascots their first big break in the 3D CGI computer-generated animation department. When it comes to childhood classics, Mickey Mouse Clubhouse from 2006 is one of the first things that comes to millennials' mind whenever Playhouse Disney or Disney Junior gets mentioned. For the first time in nine years, Mickey and his friends and the incredibly-talented They Might Be Giants reunite for a new season of the network's flagship preschool series for nearly 20 years where the characters return to their usual roots with the clubhouse, the catchy and irresistable Hot Dog Dance and Toodles voiced by Rob Paulsen presented and accounted for and there's so many new adventures to be had in the comeback Mickey deserves. No roadsters, motor labs or funhouse imposters, just Mickey and his Sensational Six just enjoying themselves. Following the death of Mickey's wife Russi Taylor in 2019 three years after the series originally ended, Kaitlyn Rubrock has now handed over the crown as the new voice of Minnie Mouse.

These new series, specials and content renewals join Disney Junior's growing three-year roster announced in April 2022, which includes the recently premiered series Alice in Wonderland's Bakery, Eureka!, Firebuds, Pupstruction, SuperKitties and Star Wars: Young Jedi Adventures, new interstitial series Me & Mickey and Playdate with Winnie the Pooh and six more upcoming programs for the channel including five new original series Hey AJ, Kindergarten School Musical, Tiny Trailblazers, Dusty Dunree and Sofia the First reboot spinoff Royal Prep Academy and new acquisition Morphie set to premiere across Disneyy Junior, Disney Channel, DisneyNOW and Disney+ SVOD in 2024 and 2025 respectively.
