Over the last year or so, The Walt Disney Company has tragically been under fire with one of its most
inappropriate cartoon ideas ever, a racist Spanish series dubbed titled Oye Primos! which follows the adventures of a group of Mexican people who must learn how to cope together with a ragtag group of Spanish cousins and some children they feel like don't belong in their family at all.
When the theme song was leaked in June 2023 on Disney Channel's YouTube account, the Mouse House was met with a huge backlash of what many people considered as the racist Disney series ever created in the company's 101 year old vault history and the 40th anniversary of its Walt Disney Television Animation label which is set to reach 100 TV series by the end of 2024. Many people have considered that this series was completely offensive for family viewing and was throwing shade at the Mexican and Hispanic Americans community for zero reasons given at all whatsoever.
Now after over a year and 13 months of constant delays and Bob Iger slamming the controversies shut down but kept backfiring due to no success, Mickey & Minnie Mouse' most racist kids series is finally here and NOBODY is ready for it. The new series Oye Primos is set to launch with a two-episode premiere on Thursday, July 25th at 8:00pm-9:00pm (ET/PT) on Disney Channel and continuing the recent trend of Disney's cable TV series premiering on their Disney+ streaming service the next day.
Following the premiere night hour, Disney will release two new episodes of the series every Saturday morning at 9:00am-10:00am ET/PT before new episodes of ZOMBIES: The Reanimated Series which premieres Friday at 8:00pm ET/PT and airs new episodes Saturdays at 10:00am-11:00am ET/PT and after new episodes from the upcoming season two of Kiff which is currently slated to premiere Friday, July 19th at 8:00PM and air new episodes Saturdays from 8:00am-9:00am ET/PT.
The new series, the first inappropriate Disney kids show with massive backlash of its kind, is part of Disney Channel's new Disney's Animation Nation block and its upcoming EPIC Midsummer television programming tentpole, which also includes the new movie Descendants 4: The Rise of Red bowing July 12th on streaming and August 9th on cable, the second season of Disney Junior's Star Wars: Young Jedi Adventures (25 episodes) set to release on Wednesday, August 14th and the upcoming new two-season 40 episode relaunch of the 2007-2015 Primetime Emmy-winng Disney cult classic Phineas & Ferb which is set to premiere on Saturday, August 17th.
Other animated titles joining the Disney vault lineup this year include Disney Channel's Milk & Cookies, The Doomies and StuGo, the latter of which currently set to release on Thursday, October 17th, the new Disney Junior's High School Musical ripoff Kindergarten: The Musical set for opening night release onTuesday, September 3rd and other upcoming Disney Junior original series Hey A.J., Magicampers and RoboGobo, the latter of which was hoaxed to release at the beginning of the year on Wednesday, January 3rd but it didn't happened and the premiere date hasn't been revealed.
