The 40th Ruby Anniversary of Walt Disney Television Animation is in full swing and to celebrate, The Walt Disney Company has cooked up some new titles and more of your favorites direct from the Annency Animation Films & TV Festival.
Among the titles featured in the showcase presentation includes the greenlight of the newest entry in the Emmy-winning Prep & Landing stop-motion Christmas mini-movie series Prep & Landing: The Snowball Protocol set to be released in December before the holiday rush, plus new miniseries based on Disney and MARVEL's Moon Girl and Devil Dinosaur: Moon Girl's Lab and Disney Junior's SuperKitties: Supurr Adventures both slated to be released on Thursday June 28th and Wednesday AUgust 7th respectively.
Disney has also renewed the hit series Big City Greens for season five following the success of their recent hit DCOM Big City Greens: Spacecation and the highly-anticipated second season of rthe Disney Junior and George Lucasfilms hit IP cash grab Star Wars: Young Jedi Adventures (Season 2, 25 episodes) set to be premiered on Wednesday August 14th, with the first seven episodes to drop on the Disney+ application and FAST channel streaming services the next day.
Additionally, the House of Mouse has also revealed the voice cast, key art, logo designs and official theme songs and opening titles sequences for three more of their upcoming series: The Doomies, Disney Junior's shameless DCOM High School Musical ripoff Kindergarten School Musical and Recess-esque elementary school drama StuGo, the latter two currently slated to drop on Tuesday September 3rd and Thursday October 18th respectively, according to Disney Wikia.
Finally, Disney and Annecy have revealed the official logo and promo poster for the upcoming Disney Junior original preschool series Magiccampers, based on the adventures of school children attending summer camp during their vacation, with the series' official trademark slogan of "We're on our quest to be the best", which might raise a few eyebrows for those elderly US army heroes who attended a military school boot camp every now and then. Unfortunately, the release date for this one hasn't been revealed yet but will most likely premiere sometime between late July or early August judging by the series name.
The new slate of titles comes in just two weeks shy of the premiere of the new Disney Junior original series Ariel The Little Mermaid premiering on Thursday June 27th, the first series to use the channel's recently launched Disney Jr./DJr. acronym abbreviation logo.
