Mickey Mouse IN DANGGER? - Disney Starting To Shutdown International Cable TV Channels Due To Diney+ SVOD Network Popularity

Over the past couple of months, The Walt Disney Company has been taking a risk of having all of their television properties be accessed on streaming platforms only and shutting down several select international versions of their channels.

Starting effective immediately on Thursday October 1st, Disney will shut down its localized channels in the UK and Ireland and instead release all their content on Disney+ instead in that region.

Here is a list of Disney Channels that are and will no longer be access in these countries as of Thursday October 1st, 2020:

Disney XD UK, France, Germany and Spain

Playhouse Disney Channel UK, Australia and Italy
Toon Disney UK, France, Germany and Spain
Toon Disney+1 UK
JETIX UK, France, Germany and Italy

Disney Cinemagic UK and Germany
Disney Cinemagic +1 UK and Italy
Zoog Disney UK and Australia
Zoog Disney+1 UK
Vault Disney UK, France and Australia
Vault Disney +1 UK

These channels are and will no longer be available in those regions continuing with the UK closure on October 1 after 25 years of televised Disney magic.
