Sponge on the Run RESCHEDULED For Canadian Theater Release of August 14th

The wait is over (well not for US yet), after being delayed five or six times due to coronavirus or postproduction, the highly-anticipated third SpongeBob movie Sponge on the Run guest starring Keanu Reeves and Snoop Dogg will bow down to the movie theaters in the Canada borders on Friday August 14th, 2020!

In the film, SpongeBob and Patrick go on a quest to Atlantic City where they have to rescue Gary who has been kidnapped by an evil sea creature, in a similar plot to the emotional Season 4 "Gary Come Home Song" episode known as "Have You Seen This Snail?". The film will also showcase what SpongeBob and his friends look like when they were kids and met each other at summer camp, which is the plotline for the upcoming Kamp Koral: SpongeBob's UnderYears which is slated to bow on Nickelodeon cable and CBS All Access SVOD next year.

The soundtrack for the film will be led by a jam from music legend Aqua.

A toy promotion for the film has also been started at the Wendys restaurant, despite the chain not knowing they have to wait a few more months before the film rolls out to America, the country where SpongeBob first topped the Nick charts.
