Well unfortunately, the time has come for the Mouse House to shut down their cable unit. Disney's newest CEO and president man in charge Bob Chapnek has confirmed that over 100+ Disney Channel stations worldwide, including the main channel, Disney Junior, Playhouse Disney, Toon Disney and Disney XD and their HD and +1 counterparts will be shutting down by the end of this year.

It's currently unknown whether or not the USA and Canada versions will stay up or get shut down. Most of these closures would make much sense since many people aren't using cable TV anymore for new content and instead switching over to streaming video on demand channels and services free of commercial breaks.

All we know is that local versions of the mentioned channels are getting shut down worldwide to make room for more high-rating streaming subscriptions

ABCs Up The-OH NOOOOO!!!! - Illustrator Lois Ehlert Dies At 87

 Legend has it that we STILL don't know if there's enough room for all 26 letters of the alphabet to fit inside the coconuts tree.

We are so saddened to report the death of the legendary Chicka Chicka Boom Boom, Painting A Rainbow and Waiting for Wings illustrator Lois Ehlert who passed away Tuesday at the age of 87 years old.

This legendary illustrator not only has had her content adapted into Weston Woods films but has also gotten her content broadcasted on television, most notably a reading of the board book version of Chicka in the Nick Jr. series Blue's Room episode "Alphabet Power" released in 2005.

Caterpillars, Crickets & Bears, OH MY. - Children's Book Author Eric Carle Sadly Dies At 92 Years Old

 We are so saddened to report that children's book author legend Eric Carle has passed away. He died at the age of 92 years old.

Carle is known famous for his hit children's book The Very Hungry Caterpillar which has been adapted into a Weston Woods/Scholastic style video compilation by Disney in the mid-90s. Other of his famous works include The Very Quiet Crickets, Papa Please Get The Moon for Me, I See A Song, From Head to Toe and the Brown Bear, What Do You See? collection, in collaboration with Chicka Chicka Boom Boom author Bill Martin Jr. who died 17 years back. He also made a few television appearances on the hit PBS Kids series Mister Fred Rogers' Neighborhood which ran from 1968-2001.


Carle's legacy lives on with the Hungry Caterpillar Play School service app on iOS and Android devices.

Part Of Your World - Little Mermaid Vocalist Samuel E. Wright Dead At 75

 We are so saddened to report the death of the Disney LEGEND Samuel E. Wright, the young Carribean reggae genus behing the voice of Sebastian the Crab in Disney's Academy Award/Oscar(R) winning The Little Mermaid trilogy and franchise, which follows the adventures of Ariel wanting to be on the surface for the first time and the challenges she faced.

Aside from his work Under The Sea, Wright has also contributed to the Disney Sing Along Songs video series which originally ran from 1986-2006, performing the song "Animals Calypso" in the 14th entry Mickey's Fun Songs: Let's Go to the Circus (1994) and performing the series' theme song when it had its final reincarnation between 2003-2006, including DVD rereleases of Sing A Song with Pooh Bear (1999) and The Lion King: Circle of Life (1994)

Wright is considered to be one of the biggest contributors in the Disney family. Unfortunately not everyone and everything cannot last forever. Wright's death unfortunately is no exception.

Thank you Samuel for all your great work you brought to the Disney staff and fandom over the past 32 years. Your Carriean talents were top notch, maun.

We will miss you dearly.

OINK! OINK! - Nickelodeon and Outright Games To Bow My First Peppa Pig Videogame This SHOCKtober

Just when you thought the line of Nick Jr videogames couldn't get any better, it's only fitting that the UK global hit Peppa Pig is next on Outright's agenda. Nickelodeon, Hasbro Interactive and Outright Games are slated to debut the all-new My Friend Peppa Pig videogame on Thursday October 21st, 2021.

In the new game, in true Roblox and Minecraft style, Peppa fans can get themselves morphed into their very own Peppa Pig-styled avatars, morphing into a wide range of animals. From there, players can join Peppa, her family, her teacher Madame Gazelle, the OVERTIME!!!!!! working Mrs. Rabbit and all their friends as they explore Peppa's house, the school playgroup, Grampy's din exhibit and even the Potato City theme park (where the magic of healthy food STILL never ends)

Hasbro is no stranger to making videogames of famous franchises, as it has worked on Thomas & Friends and Barney videogame titles from the late '90s-early '00s. Hasbro has also release videogames based on their Mr. Potato Head character and on their popular board games such as Boggle, Candy Land, Chutes & Ladders, Connect 4, Monopoly, Scrabble and Yahtzee among others

The new title is the recent in the Peppa Pig 10 Years of USA Broadcast celebration, which recently included the "Peppa Goes to Hollywood" episode arc. Peppa's next episodes are slated to rollout Fridays at 8PM ET/PT from tomorrow night.

My Friend Peppa Pig is the fourth Nick Jr. console game from Outright, joining the two PAW Patrol titles On A Roll! and Mighty Pups Save Adventure Bay and the recently announced Blaze and the Monster Machines: Axle City Racers reving onto platforms 10/16.

Like the previous and future Nick and Outright titles, the Peppa game will be available on Nintendo Switch, SONY PlayStation 4, Microsoft XBOX One and PC CD-ROM.

The Next Kids Music Phenomeon? - Nick Jr. To Bow The BeatBuds TV Series Adaption On Monday June 7th

The wait is over. Nickelodeon and Nick Jr. are slated to debut the highly-anticipated new preschool live-action series The BeatBuds based on the 2012 children's band on Monday, June 7th with a first season order of 10 episodes.

The new series entitled The BeatBuds: LET'S JAM! follows the kids music duo as they go on new rockin musical adventures, seek out new characters and storylines and introduce to the world and to Nick's fanbase what could be one of the newest popular bands in the childrens music/kindie genre.

Nickelodeon, Noggin and Nick Jr. are no stranger to making music-driven series as Nickelodeon has crafted The Naked Brothers Band, The N & TeenNick Top 10 and Big Time Rush, Nick Jr with Yo Gabba Gabba and The Fresh Beat Band, NOGGIN with the 2005 classic Jack's Big Music Show. Additional music highlights include collaborations with stars such as Arianna Grande, Justin Bieber, BTS, Jonas Brothers and Echosmith among others and a one-off annual preschool music concert NOGGIN/Nick Jr. Mega Music Fest 2010, hosted by John Leguizamo (Dora, Santiago of the Seas)

Although unconfirmed, it's most likely that the series will air on the NOGGIN SVOD as well since the streamer revival of the former Nick cable channel has been uploading all the modern Nick Jr series since May 2017.

A timeslot, crew members, additional production companies (most likely to be made by Nick Animation), guest stars and episode and song titles have yet to be announced.

NOSTALGIA OVERLOAD!!! - Nickelodeon To Bow iCarly Reboot on Paramount+ Thursday June 17th

The wait is over, Nickelodeon and Paramount+ are slated to bow the highly-anticipated iCarly reboot on Thursday June 17th, 2021!

The new reboot reunites famous stars Miranda Cosgrove, Jerry Trainor and Nathan Kress in their iconic roles. The series will take place nine years after the original show ended in 2012.

Unfortunately Cosrove's BFF and web video partner Jennette McCurdy will not be returning for the reboot, as the veteran Nick star has decided to retire from acting due to her feeling nervous about her iconic roles.

And that's not all! Nick and Paramount+ have also confirmed that live-action/animated reboots of Dora the Explorer and The Fairly OddParents! and a The CW reboot of their classic game show Legends of the Hidden Temple are also in the works!

These new revivals join Nick's current batch of revival series which include Rugrats (bows May 27th in two weeks), Are YOU Afraid of the Dark? (which recently hit its 100TH EPISODE "The Tale of the Darkhouse", Blue's Clues & You! (with another two seasons currently in production) and All That (which recently got a season 12 greenlit)

Additional revivals in Nick's past include the 2002 short-lived Wild & Crazy Kids, Double Dare, Figure it Out, Are YOU Smarter Than A 5th Grader and Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles.

The PAW Patrol Movie trailer has been DELAYED. Anyone who was expecting the film's trailer to drop yesterday will have to wait a few more days until May 17th when the trailer will OFFICIALLY be unveiled to the world.

The film's main director and script writer Cal Brunker revealed the update on Twitter "UPDATE: The PAW Patrol Movie (bowing August 20th)'s trailer will now be shown on Nickelodeon on Monday May 17th, 2021. So sorry for the inconvenience. We worked so hard to make this film for you and I'm so excited for you all to watch it!"

When one of the PAW Patrol fans asked why it happened at all and if Brunker was responsible for the date change, he replied with "I'm not responsible for the trailer's rescheduling. Just trying to keep you all in the loop. :)"

NOGGIN Rings In Juneteenth 2021 With RHymes Through Times Video Sweepstakes

This summer, NOGGIN joins forces with New York-based Alvin Alley American Dance Theater to ring in Juneteenth 2021, a June 19th celebration of the lives and accomplishments of all Black Americans.

The SVOD channel and dance theater auditorium collaborate together for the occasion and celebration with the Rhymes Through Times "Why We Dance" video competition/sweepstakes. Familes everywhere can send in their videos grooving to the hit song from Hamilton Broadway superstar Christopher Jackson who provides vocals and narration for the series.

To enter, you must learn and copy the dance moves as seen in the episode's animation produced by Oscar(R) winning LionForge Animation LLC. The moves are;
1. Wave arms ("Use your hands (when you're happy)…")
2. Stomp your feet (or when you're sad)…")
3. Wave and lower your arms ("They all tell the story...")
4. Dance freestyle [or the moves in the animation] ("..and that is Why We Dance [repeats multiple times]")

The winning entries will be compiled together in a new compilation music video for the song/episode, the third and final in the current first season of the program on Saturday June 19th. Although the NOGGIN channel's website and Facebook page don't tell us what EXACT date of June it would be released on. 6/19 may make a lot more sense since that's when the holiday falls on.

The '50s classic Paddington Bear has returned to the small screen in December 2019 with a new television series on Nickelodeon. Now this hit CGI incarnation is now streaming on NOGGIN! Edutainment At Its Finest - New Nelvana Limited Website UNVEILED!

Nelvana Ltd; A Corus Entertainment Company has been giving the best in quality entertainment for over half a century. Since June 30, 1971, the company represented by a cute animated polar bear has been giving kids and adults the award-winning education and entertainment they deserved.

With the company reaching its golden 50th anniversary this summer, it only makes sense that Nelvana's official website (www.nelvana.com) got a major upgrade. Over the past couple of months, not much was known about the new site and every time fans entered the url into their web address box, they would just be redirected to a graphic with the company's logo and text that reads "Coming Soon: A Brand New Nelvana.com" with no information of what the site will look like.

Thankfully, Nelvana's fanatics don't have to wait much longer, as the award-winning company today (Cinco De Mayo, Wednesday May 5th) has OFFICIALLY launched it's all new rebranded and updated website layout.

On the top of the homepage is links to the different categories of the website "About" which just gives you a demonstration of the company, "Studio" which gives you a basis of what the team does best, "Distribution" which you can get more detail of the great shows and movies they produced over the years, "Consumer Products" in which you can learn more about the company's merchandise and partnership deals and "Contact" where you can just call or email the Nelvana staff with feedback on their hard work or suggestions on how to make their company better.

What's mostly interesting is the "Show Full Catalog" button on the Distribution page. Clicking on this button will take you to a DHX Media and WildBrain 2015 styled PDF about the series and films the studio has put effort on and what age demographic each of them fits in. In a style similar to the 2015 PDF from the aformentioned companies, the shows described on the PDF are described by what age demograhic they are for, how many seasons each has, how many episodes per season, runtime and what type of media its produced in (either 2D/Flash, 3D CGI, 3D stopmotion, live action or photopuppetry mixed media) with each of the age demographic categories being started off with the company's recent highlights.

A Baby's Gotta Do What A Baby's Gotta Do - Nickelodeon and Paramount+ To Bow Rugrats Reboot on May 27th

Those DUMB BABIES are back! Nickelodeon has unveiled today that it will bow down the all-new CGI reboot of one of its very first Nicktoons ever made, Rugrats on ThursdayMay 27, 2021.

The reboot which is picked up for 26 episodes follows the iconic baby family which haven't been seen since August 2004 embark on more crazy adventures which involve Reptar snacks, Angelica roasting everyone and Chuckie bein a scaredy cat of EVERYTHING.

A majority of the award-winning team from the original series will return for a new generation. Among the famous faces returing include the original voice cast of EG Daily Cartwright, Nancy, Cheryl Chase, Kath Soucie and Cree Summers (Game Shakers) as Tommy, Chuckie, Angelica, Phil & Lil and Susie respectively, Arlene and Gabor, the team of Klasky Csupo (Rocket Power, The Wild Thornberrys, McDonalds The Wacky Adventures of Ronald McDonald) and DEVO members Mark Mothersbaugh (Yo Gabba Gabba!, Dance A Lot Robot) and his brother Bob Mothersbaugh returning to the beloved project as the series' composers and songwriters.

 Nickelodeon yester day has launched a new revamp of its hit Pluto TV version of the channel. Although only been on Pluto TV for two years, it seems natural that a modern change to the schedule and continuity graphics would be made.
