We are so saddened to report that children's book author legend Eric Carle has passed away. He died at the age of 92 years old.
Carle is known famous for his hit children's book The Very Hungry Caterpillar which has been adapted into a Weston Woods/Scholastic style video compilation by Disney in the mid-90s. Other of his famous works include The Very Quiet Crickets, Papa Please Get The Moon for Me, I See A Song, From Head to Toe and the Brown Bear, What Do You See? collection, in collaboration with Chicka Chicka Boom Boom author Bill Martin Jr. who died 17 years back. He also made a few television appearances on the hit PBS Kids series Mister Fred Rogers' Neighborhood which ran from 1968-2001.
Carle's legacy lives on with the Hungry Caterpillar Play School service app on iOS and Android devices.
